Confirmed. Unreadable. So it is either unintentional design downgrade OR bodis is trying to minimize sales (= more parked domains in a long run).

Hi Everyone!

I apologize for my absense from this forum. Things have come up in my personal life and did not have a lot of time to come here and offer support as in the old days.

I am hoping to be here again on a daily basis, however I am looking to hire dedicated account managers that can be here in case I can't in the future.

Recently we've had a DDOS or a "misconfigured botnet" attack our servers without end. One of the more severe cases I've seen and I was not equiped to handle such a spike in incoming traffic. After a certain period, we simply disconnected our servers from the web until I figured out a plan to mitigate the attack.

I am hoping this attack does not return, but I cannot guarantee that if it returns it will be automatically mitigated. To fully fix these issues in the future requires a bit of an investment (both financially and time).

I have went ahead and credited for any missing revenue during the attack.

Here are answers to previous questions:

Some of my domains at Bodis are set partly to zero click. I still didnt get respond from Matt. I believe low quality traffic is set to zero click to earn at least some cents per day and good traffic from G20 is experiencing a parked page. Some domains have 0 clicks but lets say 0.02 USD in the morning from single visitor, BUT later I get click for lets say 0.31 USD on a very same domain. So I believe they are optimized so, to earn the maximum out.

But I find zero clicks positive... Ive had a domain in gambling, which was getting 0.01 USD per click at others parking industries leaders. It was getting clicks really seldom. But its now set on Bodis on zero click and I am getting 0.06 USD from a single visitor. So it really matters if you have good keywords when the domain is set to zero click, or its just interesting for the advertisers.

We set the keywords for ZeroClick and optimize for the highest paying, so we do all the work on this. :tu:

As far as revenue without clicks, this would indicate ZeroClick. We only set ZeroClick on domains that are banned by G. My strong belief is that future of parking is ZeroClick only. And we rarely ever display PPC ads on domains that are banned by G.

This would mean that your visitors are not going anywhere but seeing a page with no ads or not clicking on the ads.

We do not give ANY traffic away for free. We have a minimum price that every ad provider / advertiser has to pay before we redirect the traffic. We receive bids in real time so we are able to determine if we want to send the traffic to the advertiser in real time.

A common misconception is that you are seeing a redirect for your geo/computer, but most your visitors may not be. Especially if they are from a different region where we may have no coverage.


We've been doing ZeroClick for nearly 2 years now on banned domain names. It is not something new, we simply increased the level of ZeroClick for a few weeks in July. But I have returned it to original levels.

The one thing that I will be adding is the for sale banner, even on ZeroClick pages. Currently ZeroClick is enabled on a very small % of domain names.



I hope to be here again every single day to offer good customer support and am in process of hiring an account manager to assist me as well. :tu:

Thank you all for kind words. We very much look forward to rolling these enhancements out.

The DAN partnership will work as follows: At first, it will work via DAN where a user can point names to DAN and then opt into monetization. The user has to have an account at Bodis and would input their Bodis user ID in the DAN settings. All of this would be explained and provided to every user of both platforms in the next 1-2 weeks time frame. There will be a formal announcement again and a very in depth instructional video to go along with it. It is actually quite simple, but the user must have accounts at DAN and at BODIS. After that, all is taken care of by the system. In phase 2, the same would be possible from within BODIS where you can point names to BODIS and just opt for the hybrid lander with DAN.

SSL certs - we've made sure to go live with the DAN implementation with full SSL support. We'll be also expanding this to all Bodis domains. It actually will be via TCP and not DNS. However, we have the capability to make that change if we decided to. Yes we would cover Above and any other parking managers as well btw. So it will extend beyond DNS. Case in point - we do that with kfx.com which is actually pointed to DAN DNS.

The other update is Ads.com. Baby steps but the end result is to offer real advertisers and real quality ads on faillisted names. Both in PPC format and ZC format.

This is one of the reasons we haven't focused on the MX thing yet because we're just too busy with big picture ideas such as these. But the MX opt out is still on radar. Lots of has asked about it.

Apologies to all users: Indeed there was a moment (about 30 min) of partial downtime today as a result of a DDOS attack. We will be crediting users once revenue is updated for today.

We've been mitigating many DDOS attacks lately but this has been one that for some reason has managed to bring us down. We will investigate and make sure this is avoided in the future.

@tonyk2000 that is because the Dan implementation is entirely on new tech/infrastructure and redeveloped backend for parking. That backend is also coming to all domains on Bodis within next few weeks. There's just too many things for us to announce so we're not even announcing these things. But long story short, also expect new sales landers from Bodis and increased revenues.

@blogspotter We will be focusing on quality only. No room for spam. As a matter of fact, a big move we'll make is to force out some of the lower quality tier2 ad networks that we currently partner with since they can't ever get spam under control. One of the major motivation factors/goals for Ads.com. They will be forced into going thru Ads.com and there we will be approving each ad individually or else they won't have access to any Bodis domains.

Hello Everyone!

Excited to announce something new today for all you that are using Bodis! (And maybe to those that have yet to start using us after reading this )

We’ve launched an updated domain Manage UI that allows you to better filter your domains and Advanced Search functionality to enable you to endlessly refine your domains.

We’ve also added much requested sales options, including styles, multiple placement options, aftermarket URL integration etc.

Here's an overview of everything we've added:

• Advanced Search that allows you to endlessly refine your manage domains list. Use the and/or operators and an infinite number of refinements.
  
• Folder-level sales settings and an easier way to manage folders. We've removed support for multiple folders. We found some users were confused by it. Each domain can belong to a single folder. The domain itself can be assigned a setting. Also, a folder can have default sale settings that can be applied or adjusted and applied to all domains that are assigned to that folder.
• New sales banners. We have the following types: Blend In text (the one we used to support), Highlight (new), and Penetrating (new).
• Sale banner locations: Top, Bottom, Floating Top Right, Floating Bottom Right.
• Custom sales text
• External market integration (aftermarket URL integration). We have currently integrated UniRegistry Market and Sedo into our system. We're looking for feedback for any others our users would like us to integrate.
• Ability to disable "zeroclick" aka "cpv" aka "direct advertisers" on a domain by domain basis.
• We've removed 'ACTIVE/INACTIVE' indicators as they were confusing to many. We replaced with 'Visits This Month' and 'Visits Last Month'.
• Ad Provider Status (G/Tier2), and Adult Status classification. As well as the following statuses/values for each domain: TLD, IDN, DNS Setting, and more.
• Ability to enable a legal policy imprint on bottom of parked pages, called the 'Imprint' option.
• All columns should now be sortable
• Quick and easy way of copying domains. Whether that is a single on (simply click on it and it is copied to clipboard), or thousands (see the Copy All Domains button). We've placed this throughout the interface as we think this is a handy feature.
  
• Updated the G domain status checker tool. You can now check upto 1,000 domains accurately per day directly with our upstream ad provider.
• We've updated our user interface design and functionality utilizing modern web standards and technology. What this means is, technology has come along way since we've started Bodis in 2007. And we've implemented these new standards and utilized the newest technology to help develop an easier to use user interface, that should be far less buggy than ever before.

Hopefully this excites you as much as it does us!

The good news is - this is only the beginning! In the next months we plan to add many more requested features as well as an overhaul of the reporting functionality as well!

Every feature we've ever received, we've logged and evaluated. And a lot of these features will be implemented in coming weeks and months. We have a new and highly motivated development team that is able to bring to life the vision of Bodis that we have set for ourselves and our users.

For most people escrow.com is unusable because of their limited payout options in most countries as well as their lengthy verification procedures.. it's been told over and over again on np that most of domainers prefer other venues for payment so I am a bit disappointed that you use escrow.Com and hope that in future and with your new relationship with dan.com you will make escrow.com just a little option in the background for the few who want it instead of your primary and only payment venue which it is now.. thank you

Several people have told me that they switched to a competitor of yours (And are much more happier) because you blocked their account out of the blue.
Things like this are impacting your business and will impact much more.

Just want to make a bit of an unofficial announcement. Wanted to say that future payments will go out between 15-20 days after a calendar month ends rather than 30 days.

The payment notification emails will be sent out 15th of each month rather than the 25th.

We want to make payments as quick as possible, but we ofcourse have to wait on things like deductions/chargebacks from our upstream providers. Not to mention, the quickest we get paid is NET 30 by some upstream providers and typically NET 45-NET 60 by many others.

There's a few secondary providers that we haven't even gotten paid on that we have pending legal cases against so there's many risks and losses we take in over time, not to mention we try our best to pay as soon as possible. With these NET 60 providers we already pay nearly 2 months earlier than they pay us, but I'll always try to find ways to pay earlier and earlier.

This is smallest of my announcements, but you should expect an official email detailing this change amongst other very positive changes.

I think you are missing the point. Let me put this bluntly:

1. You buy a domain today

2. It gets parked

3. It starts making $100 a day

Why do you all think Google, Microsoft, yahoo, Bodis, Voodoo, Rook, Parkincrew, and a million others are stupid?

They have billions of billions of dollars to put towards their infrastructure and yet you think you are smarter than 1,000 P.H.D.'s at Google? You think you are smarter than the guys that run this massive parking companies?

Don't get mad at these companies for doing their job. They have their own families and business to protect..just like you.

As usual matt we all appreciate the ;prompt way that bodis handles this stuff and you guys always credit people for the time that you were down or having issues. You have always taken care of me and the pother members. the bodis team has never let us down and you always continue to provide us new features as well as services that we would like to see from a parking company. Not to mention the payouts are very fast and we all appreciate that one..lol

We're still working on the new templates. We're getting very close to having those live!

As far as Yahoo feed - we're definitely open to testing it and likely will in the coming weeks or months. However, ZeroClick is performing very strongly and it will remain to be seen if Yahoo will outperform it. I will keep everyone updated.

We have a lot of things in the works right now. The new templates is one, the other is revenue improvements which we have outlined and will be working on this month. I expect performance to increase over the coming weeks as we make these improvements.
