Five other extensions were each in single digits percentage wise. "

I'm excited about .blog except the one I want is premium over $2 grand so I won't be getting that one.

The most glaring mistake from these new gTLDs is the super premium pricing. They would make it up in volume if these were released with a slight premium and awareness would be much bigger.

They could always limit the buyer to 5 or less names. IMO that would help them a lot.

Not sure who is going to pay over $2grand for firstname.NGTLD

Yeah I was also a bit disappointed with the renewal price... it's cheaper than alot of the other gTLD's but still I think they have the potential to be a leading TLD if they woke up and starting thinking about long term sustainability instead of short term profits. I mean if they want to actually gain market share then the sensible thing to do would be to remain competitively priced, not out price yourself...lol Oh well, still remains a mystery to me how these people who own their own registry's had the business savvy to make millions so that they could afford to own their own registry's but still lack the vision and foresight to realize that insanely high renweal prices are one of the main factors that's killing their business

i reckon if .online was priced at .com prices to buy and renew at same price it would considerably reduce new gtld purchases
