Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

On a scale of 1-10 how saleable would you say VRHMD,com was?

Any insight into why it is or isn't would be really appreciated.

10 - VRHMD.com is an incredible domain to have, no doubt about it.

Thnaks,

So would HMDVR be equally as good or not so?

Nope.

Because it sounds better and grammer corrected as VRhmd.

Just like its the other way around with

TrueVR vs VRtrue

Thanks Elad,

From a Domainer perspective would you say it's better to own both to add extra value. So a potential customer doesn't take the easy and potentially cheaper option?

I personally wouldn't bother with that one, like these guys said VRHMD sounds much better!
Nice name that one!!

It depends on the name imo but in some cases when it can be relevant for both sides then the answer is yes.

Ok so I've picked up VROHMD,com and AROHMD,com on a hand reg. Not quite VRHMD but still a VR relevant acronym.

Any good or would you say OHMD is just one letter too far off the money?

Forgive my ignorance, but what does the O stand for?

OK, but if the D stands for display, do you really need optical too?

I never like to criticise other peoples domains, but one rule I try to follow is: If you need to explain a domain name, that's not a good sign.

As someone who has bought a fair few VR names (good and bad) and regularly uses VR, I can't say I've seen the word optical used too often. It kinda does without saying that VR is optical.

He is buying at 123-reg and paying $18 per domain and I'm not sure if they do refunds either.

If he reads more, he would soon realise he could pay $8-9 per domain and get a refund on any bad purchases within 5 days.

Oh well. Reading huh, what good does that do anybody.:bookworm:

I can't say I have ether, but until 6 months ago before I had a go on the Vive I wasn't even aware the VR/AR Industry was actually here with such amazing tech available to the high street. The OHMD is geared towards a VR / AR experience from what I understand and the market and being so new who knows which way it will go.

May I ask what price range you plan on selling these domains for? Are you thinking quick flips to double or triple your money, or are you hoping for $XXX to $X,XXX?
