Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm not sure how you would use these names. What angle are you coming from?

I'm thinking they could be used both as Acronym's and the meanings of the words themselves are quite strong. Short word domains seem to be more desirable but in this case I could be wrong.

What do you think of;

VRPact,com
VROath.com

?

I'd say you either want to buy/reg either keywords or brandables. They seem a little in between the two.

That said, they look better to me than some of the other stuff you've been posting :xf.smile:

I don't think I would have registered those two particular names, however what I do means nothing...lol

Hope you make a sale!

I was about to say "VRArt/ca is mine!", but then I realized I let it drop... xP. lol. Good luck with that one. I certainly regret dropping it.

Something I've noticed with .ca, and other cctld's, is that they work best for physical products and services. So, for companies and individuals that provide VR tours, sell VR headsets, or produce VR content, they're awesome. However, for companies and individuals that would like to provide services over the web, like a VR Video site, VR app store, or WebVR-type apps, they're not so great. I'd also be weary of brandables (with the exception of top notch stuff). EMD's are the way to go, IMO.

Cheers. :)

Well.....VrArt/ca might be for sale you know!!! :)

Check this out... VR Art!!!

EMD's? What's this?

Thanks

Couldn't help myself with this one after reading about Alibaba's VR Payment Service VRPay.

VREpos,com

'Electronic point of sale'

Is there a Domain Reg Anonymous group? I think I've got a problem.

We had a guy like you here before. Listen to the advice you are given, alternatively contact the psychiatric unit.

EMD = Exact Match Domain

Think cars.com, insurance.com, shop.com, homes.com, funny.com, green.com, etc.

Not cocacola.com, kleenex.com, walmart.com, luxottica.com, nickelodeon.com, etc.

There are exceptions of course, so maintain your better judgement.

Gotcha!!! Just hadn't heard the term EMD before but I like it!

VrAttend.com

Doesn't really make sense in that order. Even the reverse, "AttendVR", has an odd flow.

Refund while you still can (IMO).

lol we all been there in one way or another.

first of all i think your name picking is getting better BUT still those wont have any use imho.

So now you need to decide .

if you are into VR in particular i suggest that you go after aftermarket sales (not before you will read all you can about domains and vr domains (yea , i know ive said it before , im stubborn ;))
people are regging VR domains for years , and since this thread was opened
in 2014 , the amount of VR regs grew in a crazy way so almost every regfee these days is either got nice keywords but very very long and and specific (making the market for it very small )
or short but with terrible keywords that never sell .
you will find exceptions everywhere but if you want to limit the luck factor you need to work differently

Good luck !

Don't know if it might interest you here but decided to share it with you. It's bit esoteric but about VR :) There is a Taro card for 2017 who might interest you all here : The Magician...

The influential publication The Economist released its traditional end of year edition where it predicts events of the coming year. The 2017 edition is presented in a very occult fashion: A tarot deck modified with cryptic symbols.

“I wouldn’t normally dedicate an entire article analyzing the cover of a publication, but this isn’t any publication. It is The Economist and it is directly related to the world elite. It is partly owned by the Rothschild banking family of England and its editor-in-chief, John Micklethwait, attended several times to the Bilderberg Conference – the secretive meeting where the world’s most powerful figures from the world of politics, finance business and media discuss global policies. The outcome of those meetings is totally secret. It is therefore safe to say that the people at The Economist know things that most people don’t.”

Here is the cards:

TW2017_Cover_UK_REV_NO-BC_trimmed_1024x1024.jpg

about the magician :

This card is very similar to its Rider-Waite counterpart. In both cases, the magician has one hand towards the heavens and another towards the earth – a reference to the hermetic axiom “as above, so below”. In The Economist’s version, the magician is wearing a VR (virtual reality) helmet while working a 3D printer.

As Arthur C. Clark’s third law stipulates:

“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

On this card, 3D printing appears to be a ‘magical’ solution to create low-cost housing solutions – an industry that is already ramping up. VR will undoubtedly be a big thing in 2017 as several products are set to be released in the coming years.

The infinity symbol found above the magician can refer to the limitless possibilities of both technologies: One can create infinite virtual worlds while the other can greatly expand the limits of material resources.

Thanks, interesting post.
That's great news for the future of VR, but that nuclear explosion on the Death card might prevent us all from enjoying it : (

Yes you had some good keywords such as the home design ones. I hope you managed to keep hold of the better one's, but either way congrats ;)

I wouldn't count it. I think the motivating factor was they were cheap KW+KWs.

Profit is profit!

Longtails are often a tough sell compared to shorties. As with any domain it comes down to strength of the names, IMO.
