Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

SISDigital Announces New WebVR Product To Transform Marketing Across All Industries

"Wilmington-based digital marketing agency SISDigital is at it again with the launch of SkyNav, an innovative and immersive experience-based WebVR product that is guaranteed to transform marketing for every industry that utilizes a website to assist with their business goals or wishes to give visitors a cutting edge web and virtual reality (VR) experience without the need for a mobile app."

"CEO Ty Downing explains the idea behind the product. ?The idea of SkyNav was born from the marriage of the current WebVR craze, the lack of products that assist in promoting location-based communities, products, or services, as well as the industry's inability to figure out how to make VR profitable for businesses,"

Just put up a lot of 21 VR domains for auction tonight on NamePros. Starting bid was $1 but there are already a couple of bids. Some nice virtual reality game, app photo and phone domains.

Declined a low XXXX offer for DejaVR dot king.

Short, brandable, memorable, and a play on words. And the kicker: Deja vu is also a theme in The Matrix.

Too many hot points to let it go for low XXXX. Buyer respectfully declined my counter offer.

wise choice
A couple of days ago I also rejected a tempting offer of $ 2500 for one of my best names

LLLLVR.com

Quality names must be endured until the technology is massively extended

I am sure there will be a market for these backbacks but the companies better make the most of selling as many as they can because I don't think it will be too long before we have more powerful untethered headsets that will reduce the need to have a device strapped to a users back.

I agree they are a cool option in the short term to improve the untethered experience and thst there will always be a market for them, but technology is moving fast enough imo to mostly reduce the need for such equipment and that is a good thing.

I would have taken the low XXXX offer for that name personally, but good luck with it.

VR 2017: these are the big trends and challenges for virtual reality for the year ahead

AMD’s Roy Taylor discusses what’s going to be big for VT in 2017 – location-based VR, more complex content, and experiences good enough you’ll be willing to pay for them.

Roy Taylor is ‘the VR guy’ at AMD. His official title is corporation vice president – content and technologies, but what this really involves is working with the entertainment industries to help them produce better and more engaging VR experiences. Better VR means more people and companies buying VR kit, which require much more powerful graphics chips than your average PC – so if it takes off and AMD’s marketed itself well, the company will sell more graphics cards (and chips inside laptops and the PS4, which has its own VR helmet in the PS VR).

I would have as well to be honest, but it's your decision not any of ours and I'm sure you'll hit your target soon enough. Best of luck. (y)

Really? There's lots of established websites using Hotwired+word or Hotwire+word .coms.

Why would VR be any different?
Its not. Just don't use it for travel and don't try to sell it to hotwire dot com.

The best headset available (HTC Vive) has already taken orders for their wireless adapter.... So It's already game over....

WordPress blogs now support 360-degree videos in virtual reality

All blogs hosted by WordPress.com are getting the ability to host VR content today. The site is launching support for 360-degree photos and videos, which will be viewable on desktop, mobile, and through actual virtual reality headsets.

The experience differs depending on how you’re visiting the site. On a desktop browser, you’ll be able to click and drag around a photo or video to change perspective — basically what you can already do on YouTube or Facebook. But if you have a VR headset attached, you’ll be able to put it on and get a proper experience, with the photo or video moving around in response to how you move your head.

Was this the TM company you were referring to yesterday when you posted asking if it's bad to add vr to a TM name? Regardless, why chance it?

Just keep it away from the obvious, IMO.
