They all expired they were not an investor selling to an end user. Daddy gets the money.

Gets money from whom?
The money goes in GoDaddy's pocket. These are not sales Namepros Member sold example.com for $9,000 and they get the cash less a commission. These are Namepros member did not renew it went to auction, 99 out of 100 times another domainer bought the name, paid $9,000 and GoDaddy keeps the $9,000.

Oops . Okay, missed the expired domain part and got confused as I see some of the domains still show as expired.

How do you know it was a nP member? (Maybe you know the specific member).

Would it mean that every "Premium"-Domain that expires, initially issued by GoDaddy, is marked as "Sale" for GoDaddy?
For example, I have a Premium Domain with a new gTLD, Renewal Price $250 at GD but also on other Registrars. I will drop it. Since GD is the Registrar of this TLD, will it count as a Sale?

It does not make much sense to me, but well - Looking at the Weekly Sales Reports, I often think the same :)

Kind regards,
zotix

When a domain name expires at GoDaddy or one of their registrar partners, not all domains you see at GoDaddy expired auctions are at GoDaddy. Some registrars send their expiry inventory to GoDaddy. So then the name goes to auction and if there are bids the name sells and GoDaddy keeps the money. If it was a registrar partner GoDaddy and the registrar split the profit, I do not believe the % breakdown has ever been published.

So when you see the weekly sales list at Sedo, those are usually end user sales, though investors also purchase names at Sedo of course. But these are considered retail sales. Names that expire and close at GoDaddy expired auctions are generally referred to as wholesale.

Many domain investors get frustrated because sometimes they see a name they could not sell here for $100, let it expire and it closes at $600 on GoDaddy auctions, sometimes much higher.

There are a lot of factors that play into that but it leads to frustration at the investor level.

Actually someone had bidded high on those expired .us domains listed on GD and bought them. Wondering if there were few other bidders too competing for those domains. If an investor has purchased them, aren't the prices too costly?

Looking at the last few .us sales on GD I think they’re all in the ballpark of a 5-10x when sold to retail. Not a market I play in but I know a few people who do very well here.
