Time will tell. My best policy is, be more positive; this way I don't have to work hard. Business is a take a chance process, there is zero guarantee you will be successful on everything you think this is the right way of doing things.

The change is important and progress is needed. It took them 20+years to recognize that Science is orderly arranged. While back there were only few extension and zero choices for creativety. This is now, information innovation and the need for transpormation for the system. Old system and the old way of doing things, it just the thing in the past. Everything are moving, and it's forward. Just what my gut said.

As stand-alone TLDs, even the best keywords are pretty much worthless. The pool of domains that make sense is limited. They are usually hoarded by the registries, that's why they are the only ones making sales most of the time. You are already buying 3-word .vip that would not sell even in .com. Sorry.

Finally a sensible person!!

I was beginning to think every NP member had been assimilated by the new gtld collective.

Lol...look at all these idiots, you should contact the lot of them and tell them that their domains names dont make sense!

Yes, mostly .coms

Take almost any one of them and drop the vip from the name and add .vip to the right of the dot and it makes no sense at all.

For example:

vipfunds.com (OK - I can see it) -- funds.vip (what??)

Sorry, you are right.

I am done here.

Hope you all do well with .vip.

See ya.

Couldn't resist coming back, could ya? We will convert you yet!

If that's is seriously your argument then you are clearly missing the point.

None the less, your opinion and your entitled to it. I have no desire or need to try and show you otherwise.

long in mandarine means Dragon, totem of our chinese (it is sad that dragon in west is evil creature.)

i am from China, .vip is well known english word here, most companies here have special team or department for vip customers and VIP is a hot word which usually can be found in commercials and the other advertisement , so why more than 85% .vip domains registered by chinese domainers.

Now it makes sense, I was wondering why you registered that, me being a yangguizi.

Nice name!

Nice name!

in ancient china, long(dragon) means emperor, supreme emblem for emperor, no one dare to use dragon mark even the kings . so long.vip means special to chineses ------ supreme vip ....

yangguizi is a little negative , we are like to call u guys "lao wai"

Wow, I did not know that.

Maybe there is some hope for the .vip, if only in China.

I knew the Chinese were liking the numbers in .vip, but that goes for most extensions.

I wonder if .vip has to be a Chinese or Pinyin word or will words in English work in China?

@ambrose.xu what do you say?

I studied Mandarin. I was using it in a joking way, should have added a wink after it.

just giving it up, most of our chinese domainers found most of good meaning nature PinYin and good numbers .vip have been reserved, it is unfair, mmx.co only reserved mandarine words and english words.

There's an old saying.. "The medium is the message"

For domaining.."Domainers ARE the users"

Rent= as long as people still renting this name will remain money making. I know this personally.

Gold= since the evolution of man kind, this metal always precious and it will continue to shine. The rest are just dust and rust.

Travel= people never stop traveling; either by foot, bike, boat, ship, plane etc...
Travel, will always be moving; and moving. As well as business.

If you are limiting yourself to wide range of possibilities, when everything are moving; then you are in a wrong terminal. Terminally ill, is the dead in.

Hopefully, we can get this thread back on track and talk about what .vip names people have registered.

Unfortunately for me, the Godaddy auctions I was in ended at 3am my time, so I missed out on 4-5 names. I set a lowish max bid but was the high bidder when I went to bed. :( I should have had some coffee and stayed up.

i had 3 .vip auctions on godaddy.
b2b.vip
b2c.vip
vipvip.vip
i bidded these 3 max bids for them:
b2b.vip 500$
b2c.vip 500$
vipvip.vip 1000$
but finally i losed all of them while the auction ends during my sleeping.

I think @deez007 is selling his strictly.vip

As of now - for the same money I can catch 6 traditional .PRO-domains which have aftermarket-value from high $xxx...
So no any reason for me to waste my resources on .VIP
