And it takes just a few lines of code in any of those themes to create a permanent backdoor that means anyone knowing of it, or where it might be, can create an admin-level WP user account in seconds. Then they can install spam or malware on your site, or just change affiliate links to pay to someone else, or create dubious SEO links. Or turn your site off. Or send spam. Or host illegal material. Or compromise your whole hosting account.

Those paid-for WP themes are offered free for a reason.

It's just not worth it.

Ok so $150k a month is $5k per day. How many clients is that and what is the spend per client? What is the conversion level - what level of traffic do you need to get that level of paying clients?

And if the earnings are a percentage for passing stuff to affiliates, lets say the agreed rate was 10%. To earn 5k a day that way means generate 50k a day in sales.

That is what amazes me about people believing the xxxx per month earnings he promised them on their wordpress affiliate installs - Amazon pays 5% so to earn that you would need a LOT of traffic and high conversion, say grossing 40k plus per month in sales where maybe 1 in 100 visitors converts...

There is nothing slick about it. When a web developer builds a site on someone else's server, it's common for the developer to maintain a "site" admin account to tweak the site for the customer. It will allow him to take the site offline and or change content and upload pics and perhaps files.

It has nothing to do with your FTP or CPanel, UNLESS, you created another account at HG for an "Account Manager" other than your self. Now granted you may have given him FTP access to upload the site, I presume, and if so simply changing the HG account password (or there may be a separate FTP password) should rectify that.

If I may comment for a moment... and don't take this the wrong way.

But are you an actual car salesman or auto broker? I am only asking because if you are, you should consider starting to write your own content for the next site. Use your expertise on the subject if you have it. A WP site is probably the most user friendly framework after a relatively short learning curve. There are tons of free videos on YT and elsewhere.

I understand the way people "sell" things etc., but the reality of the domain world is simple, unless you pay someone to maintain the business, ie: managers, customer service etc... there is no such thing as a "SELF REVENUE GENERATING SITE" it will always need hands on activity to keep content fresh and up to date with current trends in the niche as well as ongoing advertising costs etc..

These are my opinions and yours may vary... and that's ok. I am not condoning any nefarious actions.
