Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

@Dynadot I'm just asking for 2 things:

1 - at the domain's page, when a name is listed for sale, the "View Listing" button only leads to the main marketplace (https://www.dynadot.com/market/listing/). I believe this is link is supposed to go directly to the domain's sale page instead so please fix it.

2- please add the ability to sell domains through private listings, similar to what Epik has.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or even if it's just me but just wanted to give feedback about transfering a name away from Dynadot.

I recently sold a domain at Dan and so had to unlock the name and obtain the auth code which was given to the buyer. I then had to notify Dan when the name had left my account. I only knew it had left because I manually checked 2 days later.

My gripe is that at no point through the entire transfer did I get any kind of email notification or alert that a name was being transfered away. No email that the auth code had been obtained, no email that a transfer had been initiated so no accept/reject option and no email to say the transfer was complete.

This seems like quite a big security oversight to me and quite suprising from Dynadot given they're more than happy to send me plenty of emails about purchases and transfers in.

Essentialy if someone had access to an account they could transfer all the names away without any notifications being sent to the owner.

Dynadot, your banner on NamePros has expired: "Offer expires 10/31/21 23:59 UTC".

They do indeed send transfer out emails. You can also see any pending transfer outs on your dashboard when logged in and approve them.

Well unfortunatley I got no emails of any kind and the transfer out was completed within 48hrs without any interaction from me other than giving out the auth code. I also did'nt see any mention of it on my dashboard during those 48hrs. Maybe it was just one that fell through the net but still not good.

Thank you for your feedback, are you still experiencing the bug with the "View Listing" button? The button is working correctly from my side at this time, and redirects from the search results page to the domain's listing page.

In regards to private listings would you be looking for a listing type that allows only a specific user to purchase the domain name, rather than the domain being open for purchase to all users?

second highest
Our team has advised that the bids are not removed as removing bids would be unfair to the other auction participants, or other users who may have wanted to participate in the auction if the winner's bids were not taken into account. However, if you suspect that the winner of an auction may have been shill bidding please feel free to reach out to us by email at [email protected] and our team can investigate.

We do also offer 'Last Chance' auctions for expired domain auctions with multiple bidders if the winner does not pay, and the second-highest bidder also chooses not to pay. In this case, a new auction would be held in the future, and our system would send an email to let you know that the domain was being re-auctioned if you were still interested. This would offer another chance at winning the domain via auction if you don't wish to pay the final price as the second-highest bidder.

We don't offer a public link at this time, unfortunately, but you can find a private list of your current listings here:

https://www.dynadot.com/account/marketplace/my_auctions/

Whilst we don't have a link specific to user auctions you can find a public list of your domain listings for both our marketplace and user auctions. To find that, you would just need to use the drop-down menu which shows your name in the top-right corner of the website. From that menu, if you select 'Profile' you should see all of your current marketplace and user auctions listed, and could then share this link with potential buyers.

Would it be possible to PM us with your Dynadot username and the domain name so that we could check that further, please?

For transfers from your Dynadot account to another registrar an open transfer would be shown within your account, and we would also send out a 'Transfer Away' email containing an approval link to the email address being used for the domain's contact record.

If the domain was being pushed between Dynadot accounts rather than transferred between registrars then no approval link would be sent, but our system would send an 'Order Received' email when the push request is submitted and an 'Order Finished' email when it has been accepted by the recipient and processed.

I just tested again and this time with new phone but it still goes to https://www.dynadot.com/market/listing/

Tested a freshly listed name. Does it take time for it to link properly?

About private listings, yes, only for specific user to purchase. I sell wholesale to other members very often so since the prices are usually low I didn't want others to snatch it instead of my intended buyers.

"Please enter your sms code" - but I am not receiving any SMS code for the login! It had been working for me, but now all of a sudden I am not receiving the code anymore. Same phone, same phone number, same country, same provider. This SMS code login is not reliable, now I cannot access my account.
I know there is a button to remove the SMS login, but I don't want to remove it, I just want that SMS code to arrive :) It works on other websites, but on Dynadot now it isn't working.

Agreed. Its been at least an hour right now. Same yesterday. Why is Dynadot the only registrar that literally needs to stop functioning for periods of time every single day?
