Matt,

When are we going to see the "Domain For Sale" feature on Bodis? Will it have a feature for us to put in a link? That would be VERY helpful.

Thanks.

Will have those questions answered soon.

Just wanted to say visitor statistics are behind today. Our statistics server is stuck again. Will have this cleared up soon.

Today, looks like 30-40% of our clicks are behind. Sorry for the issue. This is a new system for us to track clicks and it is causing problems. Should have the issue fixed by end of day as we prepare for something special. ;)

I know this question has been asked probably hundreds of times by now. The for sale feature is available once we push our new templates live. I don't know how it happened, but somehow I have tied it into the release of new templates rather than being able to add it at any time separately.

Still can't get an exact date for new templates but will be soon. I am behind on quite a few things. Please be patient :tu:-, I know it's difficult especially consider how long this feature has been asked for.

Has anyone else had a terrible start to the month?

My numbers are horrid atm. Hoping that when the new feed kicks in this changes. RPM is the same but earnings between the first few days of the new month are way down on the last few days of the last month...which strikes me as strange to start with...lol.

I know you have to take into account what days of the week I'm comparing, but it just looks down and strange to me.

lol...who knows. Bring on the new feed I say. :)

1. Today is election day in USA. I think a lot of people have off. I'm not sure, I don't vote.

2. It has been live half the day but the morning was sluggish with issues from old provider.

3. I don't have full revenues on it until Thursday and estimates are updated on last days worth of estimate data. So your domains could be doing better/worse and I won't know until I get full day's worth of stats.

In other words, please be patient. :)

Makes sense. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to see how it all pans out.

Matt,

So the NEW FEED was active for half of today?? WOW, that's really cool. So, does that mean we are REALLY, REALLY close to it going live full-time?

Looks that way...I just checked one of my sites and there were none of the second tier ads that Bodis was using previously.

Actually, we still use second tier on those domains that our new provider has banned. It is a small % of Bodis luckily. For some it may be more than others, but overall it is a small % and nothing to worry about as our old feed will be used for those in the very same way.

Next up: Templates. :)

We have 1 new template so far. It's a great one-click. I am estimating end of next week. We'll be working on a second one click template as well. All domain names will be allowed to run on 1-click, so it should give some performance boost when optimized up against our current 2-click.

interesting...thanks in the update...

11-02 was a great day and rpm shot up around 59..best day so far.

11-03 seems rpm was around 23..

as a whole im happy on things, just worried as some of you are and if we see decreases on new feed.

matt in the future if we are not happy on the new feed, can we tell you put on the old feed that you were using? just curious-know its to early to ask this but just curious.

Jeff,

You're still doing better than almost every day of October and better than November 1st. ;)

You're one of the only better days was November 2nd, which was a very buggy day yesterday as we rolled out entire re-development of backend and new server for tracking clicks and somehow some domains got clicks reported correctly, while others completely lost track. It was the strangest bug I have ever seen, somehow the server side language was not considering 0.0 to be the same as 0, even though for 2 years it has.

Whenever our click server is delayed - that's it - it'll never be as it should have been because everything is correlated and the server has 30 minute blocks to do all the work in those 30 minutes for every 30 minute block. It's a very long, complicated story you do not want to hear. But the thing to remember, when a credit takes place, it never will be accurate.

Now we will have data by domain, so credits will most likely always be quite accurate if something were to go wrong.

For now, how about let's stick on the current feed? ;) We don't have data for it yet, so revenue hasn't changed at all +/- on a domain basis. Data is based on the estimates of old provider.

I don't want to scare anyone or make anyone happy. I just don't know how it'll perform yet. We will have to wait and see a few days, then our system will have to start grabbing data from new provider and using estimates based on that, so just give it a few days and I'm sure everything will be quite ok.

But, to answer your question - chances are no. Technically I have been surprised that old feed was running as long as it has. From what I understand, our old upstream was not even allowed to have it, neither was their upstream allowed to give it out. Long chain of no-no's. So we are either on a stable setup, or on a crooked setup that one day might be even worser than Ask fiasco - no ads at all. Which do you want to choose? :) I'll take stable any day. But once again - it could be better as well, we'll have to wait.

Shhh, stop sharing my secret sauce. :D

I welcome everyone's questions here. Usually I notice that my answers sound like I am annoyed after I re-read them, but I never am when I answer them and I make sure I get everyone's questios and concerns answered.

That reminds me, we also have a nice little nifty feature going live hopefully this Friday. I will post more about it once it is ready. It is going to help a lot of domainers that use multiple parking programs, and those that have a lot of domain names.

Not sure on the affiliate program you asked about.

I've had this idea for a long time, but developing it might take more work than it's worth. Maybe 2 years down the line.

Right now I have 2 other ideas on increasing revenue aside from new templates that don't require as much work that I'll be looking into soon.

The verdict is in.

So far stats for a quarter day of yesterday are in. Revenue looks about 20-30% overall better than we normally have. :)

Expect an update to your revenue based on these numbers by end of Friday as we integrate the reporting into your account interface.

This may fluctuate depending on the quality of your traffic as traffic is smart priced. We also have a lot of work long term to optimize for this new partner of ours which will also bring in gains in the future.

The verdict is in.

God...I hope not. My numbers are awful and getting worse. Will let it settle for a week and see which way it goes. I honestly can't see that it would continue the way it is going, so I'll give it some time. :)
