Just an update on my end: The last 2 days my daily revenue has returned to normal.

And to clarify: by the end of the year all keywords will be generated automatically?

One more question: When will the Buy and Sell sections be activated?
I'm getting error page when clicking on the tabs

thx

Is this Bodis 3.0? :D

I am looking forward to the new templates, ad provider and all the other features that are coming. Great times are ahead for Bodis!

Let's hope it feels like a 3.0. :D Actually, trying to make it feel more like 1.0. ;)

Correct, by the end of the year the goal is for the system to be smart enough to choose the keywords by country and by language and optimize them correctly so that the users don't have to do the work themselves.

Custom Keywords actually would cause a problem once that is in place, unless we'd allow you to adjust keywords for every different country, which would be way too complicated. I believe that is what Sedo allows you to do but my take is that it is too complicated.

The new template already has a much better photo matching system, and allows us to manually review all domains and adjust photos if ever needed (from my end). This keeps all the clutter away from the clients.

So the end goal is to allow our users to specify only a master keyword. It could still take a few months before we get there, because we need to make sure that the system is smarter than the user when it comes to keywords.

I think sometime this week we'll also turn the switch on our new visitor algorithm. What we currently do, is that we have an algorithm or a system in place that analyzes the attributes of every visitors and detects if the visitor is a human being behind a computer or if it is a robot. The system is not perfect - and it takes more work to give the accurate visitor #s than it is actually worth for the time being. But we needed to develop something similar for a different module, so I decided to enhance the algorithm.

My estimate is that on a whole, you are now seeing anywhere from 1/4 - 1/5 more visitors than are actually valid. So when the switch is flipped, the visitors will decrease by about 20-25% from that point on, but your clicks and revenue will stay the same. It only applies to the visitor tracking. It will not affect your revenue. Some portfolios might also see bigger decrease than others. But keep in mind, it is only statistics and it will not any impact on your revenue.

It is important especially in the long run, since it allows to accurately measure statistics, RPM, etc. If the visitors are inflated or have the possibility of being easily inflated, the statistics wouldn't be accurate.

So I will have more on that soon.

Thanx for the updates.
RPM and revenue is back to normal.
Revenue per keyword and custom keywords are one of the best tools i ve used in 5-6 parking services i ve tried.
They gave me the opportunity to maximize my revenue for international traffic domains because with those tools i seek what my traffic wants and then deliver it.
For example on of my domains used to make per day .50 cents and now it reaches sometimes $4 per day just because i used this tools and optimize it.

I m 100% sure that removing those tools(in fact one of them is already gone) will make me loose most of my revenue. I cant see why keeping those tools will harm the system as a whole.

my revenue does not make any sense - one day it is good the very next day it is so bad i should move it - the next day i do not get even one click on some domains - it is wierd .

today looks like the worst day i have ever had at bodis - not sure how long i will leave my domains there - i have to really check how much they made at the other places.

what really hurts is the lack of any information on the cp other the the rpm and the revenue - it is like fishing in the dark to find a fitting keyword.

I keep coming and saying here, we currently have an UNSTABLE AD PROVIDER and are in the process of UPGRADING TO A DIRECT AD PROVIDER. If you do not know what that means - then that means that you are going to have stable revenue, and more revenue for your clicks once we make the switch.

I will not say this again. Once the upgrade is done, revenue will be stable, and higher. I've said this in almost every post throughout last 1-2 weeks. It will be upgraded in a few short days. Please stay patient. This is nothing we have control over, and there is no way for us to expedite the process.

I do not have control over our current upstream ad providers. If they experience outages, so do we. And lately, they've been experiencing a lot of outages. Does this make sense to you?

Just give it a few days, and once the switch is made, I guarantee you you'll be impressed with the performance.

These days, instability occurs with other parking companies also. I guess it is just because of economic crisis. Companies preferring low budgets for ad campaigns, and this cause ad campaigns being online for a shorter period of time.

on!SPOT, I will address you in a bit. Sorry for missing your post.

Right now Bodis is in the process on updating its backend software to prevent from future DDOS attacks. We currently already did step 1 of the process last night and so far is has worked well. Just a second update and after that I'll be back here to address everyone's questions.

I have went ahead and credited estimated lost earnings + an extra 10% for the inconvenience it has caused for everyone for today's down time.

I have also credited for the short down time we had on the 14th/15th.

Let's hope this doesn't happen again.

When will the new landers actually go live Matt and what do the one click landers look like?

A few days after we go live with our new provider. Sorry, there is a queue for all this. :(

One-click landers will be rotated and optimized our current landers this way nobody experiences any drops in revenue, and we'll get good insight on how it compares.

Been lurking here for a while.

Guess it's time to update my domains and see if I can do better than the last month of 6 cents. It will probably help if I point my domains to the account. :)

Yeah, I think that usually helps just a tad.

Just an update:

The new security features are now in place. From now on, there should not be anymore server down time.

Also the visitor tracking I've been speaking about a few days is also now in place. Your visitors should stay the same or drop (as we discard visitors we think are invalid), but your revenue will not be affected. Only your visitor numbers will be affected.

This should give everyone a more accurate RPM. If RPMs double from this moment on, but revenues stay the same, it would be because of this change.

This is going to be important for everyone in order to accurately track statistics and trends over a period of time without having inflated visitor numbers due to robots/crawlers.

PS
This was a big update on our end. It has been tested thoroughly on a development server. But if anybody notices any issues with their parked domains, please PM me. There shouldn't be any issues, but I think it is good for me to mention this just in case.

One day looks good, next day looks terriable. Had my lowest rpm ever I think yesterday on one name.

I brought my 2 biggest names over and so far running an rpm around 14. X, xxx traffic so far. Wish the rpm would pass 20 and would be happier.

Getting worried on new feed some as well. Templates I'm looking forward to, these ones are not making me excited.

Yes I'm making more then previous companies and helps me out but wish rpm increase.

Hope today recovers compared to past couple days.

I sometimes feel like I'm in the worst kind of poker hand...where you have so much time and money in the pot you can't afford to fold...the chances of winning are slim, but there's a little glimmer of promise and hope that helps keep you in the game (the much anticipated new provider, new templates and sales link).

Not that it matters, but my revenue and visitors are both down. One domain that used to average decent numers got 34 visitors and made $2.89 on the 19th but only a total of 4 visits and 57 cents for the last three days (20-22).

Finally, I wish I had domains getting thousands of visits, but I don't. Sinc I don't, I don't understand the importance of RPM. If someone could explain how it helps me to know how a domain with (now) one visitor and 9 cents daily revenue has an RPM of $90, I'd love to hear it.

I think RPM is "Revenue Per thousand impressions".
So, you have 9 cents for one visitor and assume one visitor is one impression.

1 impression = $.09
10 impression = $.90
100 impression = $9
1,000 (1M) impressions = $90

Thus, you get RPM = $90.
