Did you read my entire post? I said it is better, not worse. The numbers need to adjust to this revenue. The system uses old estimates to form your new revenue.

But to be honest with you, I don't think that shoe domain of yours will do good, but we'll have to see. Completely different set of advertisers. Maybe on the 1-click.

Well, starting in August, my RPM was dropping about in HALF each month vs the previous month until it reached $7.62 for the month of October. So far, in November, my RPM is $35.22. So, I would say the new feed is working great for me.

I am also showing a steady increase across the board.
100% increase in revenue from September to October with signs of another 80% increase from October to November(if the first 4 days are an indicator)

Yes there are some people that are doing worse, others are doing much better. See, the problem is that the new feed has a different technology for serving ads than our last providers. Our last providers a keyword search looked for advertisers that advertised exactly for that keyword itself.

The new feed is based on the content network, and does a keyword match. So it brings up advertisers that are related to the keyword.

I know someone that has a domain related to the "Saw Movie" on Bodis. With old providers, it was doing great. Now it is displaying ads for "Buying Chain Saws Online", and doing 10x worse.

So in order to fix this, I will have to reset the keyword optimization once enough data is collected about our keywords clicked for our new provider. This will take 1-2 weeks and will solve most the revenue drop problems some of the people are experiencing.

This is because we only included the feature for future use. Our new templates that will be live in about 1 week will come with an inquiry system and will start taking advantage of the feature.

- Can we turn the estimated domain revenue off but keep visitor count?
- How do I upload and image? I see no option in 'custom photos'
- What is the payout cycle?
- Do you get tired of all these qestions?

DNS A-Record for Bodis

Hey everyone,

I've searched this Bodis thread, but didn't find my answer, so here goes...
I'm new to Bodis, just signed up and added 2 domains.

Rather than changing the DNS servers, (or forwarding the domain via redirect), I'd rather keep the DNS with my registrar, and update the A-Record to point to the Bodis server.

Is this possible to just set an A-Record rather than using:
NS1.BODIS.COM
NS2.BODIS.COM

or
http://www.bodisparking.com/yourdomainname.com

The main reason behind it, is
1) MY registrar has an easy DNS system to manage
2) I host mail on my web server for many of my domains and would like to still have mail capabilities on that domain.

Any Ideas on A-Record for Bodis? Thanks in advanced!

Yes, that's strange. What registrar are you using? I'll be looking into it right now.

As a matter of fact this is an announcement to all: Refrain from using URL forwarding at all times. Maybe I am going to be one of the first companies to announce this publicly. Our new upstream provider in the coming months is expected to stop allowing all of its partners to allow URL forwarding. So if you have a domain name where it's possible to redirect using name servers or A-records, then please do that instead.

I have a few questions!

Stats are updated every 30 minutes and are FINAL. The only reason they'd not be final is if someone would be generating fraud / automatic clicks. In an event that some click bot comes in and starts clicking, we'd have to remove the clicks from the clickbot the next day. That has only happened once so far and for a different reason, so it shouldn't ever happen again.

- Can we turn the estimated domain revenue off but keep visitor count?

Since revenue is final, what you see is what you get. When we get new / better revenue from upstream, we'd update our "estimates database" with that revenue, then the day after you'd get estimates based on these new estimates. The system always adjusts +/- depending if we over estimated your revenue or not. At the end you get almost exactly what you would get if we'd not give you an estimate. It'll be off by no more than a few cents +/-.

- How do I upload and image? I see no option in 'custom photos'

That feature has been stripped. We are introducing new templates that no longer allow users to select ANY images. The system will be much more accurate on selecting images, and any manual touches will be on our end.

- What is the payout cycle?

Currently NET 45-60. Our new provider should pay within NET 30, so we are hoping to reduce to NET 30 by around January.

- Do you get tired of all these qestions?

Not yet.

I am using Godaddy. I currently use A-Record to point to my current parked site provider, so I'm very familiar with the process. (it's under Total DNS Control for anyone using GoDaddy. Just replace the current A-Record for that domain).

So, CFGuru, I can just set the A-Record to: 208.75.250.50 ?

I am looking into your issue. Right now GoDaddy has been really unresponsive for me today. So far I have updated DNS but GoDaddy domains are barely resolving.

Please give me another day to get back to you on this issue and the CNAME issue as well.

I have tested the A-RECORD forwarding with Godaddy finally, and it seems to be working without a problem.

The IP Address for A-record forwarding is 208.75.250.50. That is our primary ip address of our DNS server.

The IP addresses of our servers are:

208.75.250.50 (NS1)
208.75.250.51 (NS2)

You would only use the primary for the A-record.

@Jeff - Sometime tonight it will start adjusting based on new numbers. Not everyone will see an increase, some will see a decrease. I don't really want to get into it on the boards, everyone will see once the numbers start adjusting. This is different data than we used to calculate your revenue in the past. This data is accurate and represents what we really get paid by upstream. Overall there is an increase.

Matt for my .ca's I use Namespro.ca - I have the DNS option
on some of them and this is what they are showing is required for the DNS change.
Can you check it please and let me know how I would change it

We do support adult domain names. It is possible that your domain name was not classified as adult after adding.
