$50 Scam

I contacted this dude and we agreed to $50 for the name. As Nigerian, Paypal isn't fully functional over here. I hard to look for way to receive the money via paypal and didn't message him for a few days.

Then I got an email from hims saying he is losing trust because I have not replied him nor transfer the name.

I told him that paypal isnt functional in Nigeria and that I was looking for a friend that would help me receive the money. Well when I got someone, I transferred the name to him and he confessed he has gotten the domain and appeared surprised that I could trust him to send the name. He also confess that I was the first to do such and seemed excited. With feeling in the air, I thought he would prompt the payment immediately but sadly, that was the last I heard from him.

He had been replying with his iphone right from start and there is no way he hasn't read my emails. The dude is based in US.

After I noticed that he wasnt replying I told him that since he doesn't want to pay, I wish him well with name. However, I will drop his ID after some days so that others can avoid him.

mail godaddy and tell them you want to cancel the domain push....sometimes you have to wait for few days..there will be some reasoning..
also tell the person that you can still get the domain back by filing a dispute..as domain registrar you have advantage over him...

that is really weird.. I had once got my domain back.. happened to me in the same way..
I said the domain was transferred by mistake and then after 5 days or so i got it back.

When you push a domain, you get a mail about confirmation about the push. In the mail there is also a link were it mentions that if the domain push was not intended please contact us.

Did the whois info changed?
Go daddy may not do any thing since the receiver is from US and you are from Nigeria.

The domain is TransferCoin.com and I believe whoisology.com can show my name as the old owner to confirm I am saying the truth.

Ah, yes it is me. But here is the other half of the story:

Random guy contacts me and offers Transfercoin for $1,200. Im not interested. He contacted me again, for $500, I'm still not interested. He contacts me again for $50, and i say sure why not. I give my godaddy info and ask for paypal and he offers me transfercoinS <-- I got very skeptical because now he wants to sell me the plural. Ive had scammers offer me the plural before(which i don't ever like), and after i pay they only send me the plural! So i didn't want that to happen..

I told him no, i don't want transfercoinS (plural). Randomly he said he would send a list of 'coin' names for me to see if i like any. At this point, i figured it was a scam or a desperate domainer. I looked up the whois and realized the seller was from Nigeria... A popular place for scams... Maybe this was a Nigerian Price!

So after that i send him a message saying: You first offered me Transfercoin, then you offered me the Plural, when i didn't want the plural you offer to send me a list of 'coin' names (which you NEVER sent) and that i was loosing patience and trust.

Randomly he sent me the domain before payment, and when i ask AGAIN for his paypal he said he was trying to figure out a way to accept Paypal. I OFFERED to pay in Bitcoin. No response. DAYS LATER he said he found someone in a different country to accept paypal and i could pay someone else??? WTF

After doing some research online i realized, that if i paid someone else then i could easily have the domain taken back because the payment would not be associated to the seller and he could claim the domain was sold with out his consent.

ALSO... the domain was about to expire in 3days!!!!!! Which is why he was so desperate to sell it to me and why he sent it to me before i paid/before he found someone to accept paypal for him.

ALSO..... every hour on the hour i got a email "let me know when you paid" my mailbox considers the same message over and over every hour as SPAM!! so it went into the SPAM folder.

I am in the middle of transferring the domain to a different register, to insure the seller can't revoke the domain
. Then i will pay, but the seller FORCED me into a position where i could NOT pay seller directly and he could easily scam me, so i am waiting till the transfer is complete.

Next time... tell the whole story.....
