Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

While we're talking about hyphenated domains. Someone approached me on buying KarmaVR.com. I had it listed on Afternic for $1999 which is reasonable imo. They bid bid $25. Then they emailed me and offered $100. We go back and forth and I told them absolute lowest I'll go is $850 no hassle deal they take care of extra. The 1st person says ok but then passes me to his partner via email.

This is when I got upset. The second guy proceeded to lecture me on branding and marketing and this small window for me to sell to them. He told me they owned the dash version (they bought the previous day) and was going to brand it if I didn't sell and they wouldn't come back for the non-hyphenated one. He goes up to $300 as his best and proceeds to tell me that he's already been working with some of the biggest names in VR and they're getting to know his brand etc.

So I'm like, thanks for the info :). This domain is no longer for sale and I wish you the best in your endeavor. I felt insulted. If between you and a partner a name is only worth $150 a piece? Come on now. The fact I even went down to $850 was huge. And I only went that low because of the nature of their startup. Whoever the second guy was does not need to be negotiating for his team.Think I'll go put a VR wellness blog on the name now.

Anyways... my name is BostonDomainer and I'm a VRholic (don't own it)

Double the price to $3999 and forget about it.

Naahhhh redirect it to some naughty content of which you have signed up for already as an affiliate. Then ask them what they think? Then tell them the price is now $5000.

And let them know that any work they do on their hyphenated will only work in your benefit. At the same time let's be honest visitors will visit the nonhyphenated version.

Reputation ruin is often times a great too

So either kharma-vr will be about whatever they want it to be or be associated to something naughty.

This will make kharma vr truly ironic.

01-01-1970 means no data. Anyway stop using who.is, use whois.com instead.

I'm tired of negotiating with potential buyers who want to take a good domain name for a few hundred dollars. It is normal, the buyer want to buy cheap and the seller wants to sell expensive. If you have clear which is worth a domain or rather what it will be worth in a few years I advise you to mark a fixed price and not make discounts of more than 20%. VR is in its infancy and is not time to sell at any price. Each domain can wait for the ideal buyer. We must master the negotiation , if buyers can find a weak point or a hesitation, we are lost.

Buyers often forget that every transaction is a two way process.

I have been really nice to some buyers and then they take that as weakness.

Well, those that do this findout later that the price went up, because we all know good VR names are increasing in value, we are approaching the steepest peak of that curve, so in reality, the buyers that try to be unethical will lose out.

They are just negotiating... don't feel insulted.

I've got 'the second guy' before. Typically they are people that knowledgable when it comes to IP / Branding /Marketing.

Either it's hubris on their part, or they are just feeling you out. If you counter with short intelligent points and stay firm in your price you will convert.

Or you can just inform him that you disagree with those points, and leave the discussion open for them to accept your price point.

Dropping down to $850 might have been a bit of a misstep here. Making such a significant reduction in price gave them a window to try and push you lower. I understand liquidity is important but dropping the price by $1100 without letting at least 2-3 weeks go by makes the buyer think that this is more of 'your price' rather than the price/value of the domain.

Either way, sounds like you have a sale coming your way soon so congrats in advance.

Back when TeeVR.com was mentioned here. I started to want a piece of the "golf" niche action.

These are probably old news here but I just found these on my own today by accident. from 2015.

http://fortune.com/2015/10/13/taylormade-using-vr-to-sell-golf-clubs/
http://vrscout.com/projects/how-taylormade-is-targeting-golfers-with-360-vr-video/
http://www.sporttechie.com/2015/10/15/taylormade-now-using-virtual-reality-sell-golf-clubs/

and the "keyword" set I keep saying together is "Golfclubs" or "Golf clubs"

Very few english dictionary words can "work" as either singular and plural. in fact some sound "proper" or better as PLURAL.

Golf Club Vs. Golf Clubs

all I keep hearing is Golfclubs,Golfclubs, golfclubs.
plus did some keyword research for monthly searches and find out the "Golf Clubs" gets 673,000 monthly searches. Not too shabby.

therefore:
GolfclubsVR.com
VRGolfClubs.com

I can also see the use of "Golf Clubs" not just for thee actual sports equipment but as thee actual Clubs all around the world for Golfing.

A "Club" for Golfing? Sure! why not!

really surprised no one got these yet.

also. Golf Clubs have another name IRON or IRONS.

Both get a 1,000,000 searches per month!
Therefore got:

IronsVR.com
VRIrons.com

a 5 letter keyword in front of VR that gets 1 million searches per month? and it's a Golf Reference?

TeeVR sold for a great price and it can only be used for say the name of a Golf Game or a TV reference.

IronsVR.com can be used for a website that uses VR to sell Golf Clubs aka IRONS.
