Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

FCC Chair states High Speed 5G wireless essential for the VR future !

Being the ability to deliver 4k streaming VR (and faster) on mobile devices.
He has a proposal up for a vote next month.
While I know the industry and a lot of folks want to see this adopted, the milometer RF wavelengths that are proposed are definitely brain cell killers when concentrated near the head for long periods of time.
The microwave spectrum is just under that of x-rays. Hope they have it all figured out.
Would like to see it, but safely.

Nice, in addition to boxing games, it would seem like boxing training in VR will become a thing as well.

In .com:

VR Boxer
VR Fights
Fights VR

Didn't see it mentioned: Job VR in .com went for a little over 500.00 the other day in an expired names auction.

I agree w/ @HireDomains.

Past tense is kind of counter-productive with that one. Especially since streams are generally live, and in the moment.

Grace delete if you can, IMO.

i see what you mean but i was thinking more of it being a descriptive word like " Its streamed from their server to my phone"

i know its not the premium streamvr but its still in the category and vr is blowing up so i think it should have value

Agree with comments above... IMO, either "stream" or "streaming" are prime candidates... "Streamed" however, is not... Remember the Mark Twain admonition... "The difference between the 'right' word and the 'almost right' word, is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug!" (And it also happens to be the difference between a domain that sells, and one that sits on the shelf...;))

idk about all that, i said i agree its not the premium but lightning and lightning bug are 2 different things, stream streams streaming streamed are all variants of the key word, when used as a descriptive word its better than past tense use.... IMO :P

just google the word streamed and you see its a commonly used term, if you think its not then you dont know about streaming again IMO ;)

JMHO, but the issue isn't whether "streamed" is a commonly used term... The issue is whether it's a commonly used term in domains that are purchased by endusers/investors... (Run a quick namebio search for the term "stream," and see how many purchases come up for "streamed"... ) For me, it's the old saw... "just 'cause a name can be regged, doesn't necessarily mean it should be regged... (Not trying to rain on your parade at all - It's just the way I see things... ) Above aside, best of luck with your name!

Simple truth is that not all Vr names are worth $5,000, so if you get a sale for $150 it is still a good thing, fourteen times your original investment is way better than what a bank is offering, I listed a name here (h2vr) and could not get a bite, then recently I passed it on for $150 ....... I was gonna let it drop. As it turned out I was able to get rid of the last bit of money owing on my credit card. Happy enough and happy to get all kinds of sales. In a newish genre you need a little cash flow when you can get it.

What do you think about StreamLiveVR ?

I like it. It's a call to action.

People usually say "Stream it live on your phone", "Click now to stream live videos", "We're now streaming live from L.A.", etc. So, it makes sense. :)

Now I wish I had a live VR name...

The Sacramento Kings’ New Stadium Is Wired for Virtual Reality

When the Sacramento Kings’ $507 million new stadium opens in October, it will boast a hanging bundle of video screens 84 feet long, just shorter than the court. It will also have technology that's much less visible—the arena is being built with a high-capacity Wi-Fi system intended to give fans fast Internet access on their mobile devices, similar to what's offered by a home broadband connection.

One motivation for that is to give fans the ability to Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook their time at the game. But another was to enable experiments with virtual reality, says Paul Jacobs, vice chairman and co-owner of the team, and also executive chairman of mobile chipmaker Qualcomm. Fans could be given an up-close experience of the action no matter where they’re sitting, he says.

“Whether they're way up in the high seats or they're in a box but not sitting courtside, you still want to give them that courtside experience,” says Jacobs, who was Qualcomm’s CEO between 2005 and 2014.

There aren’t firm plans for exactly when virtual reality headsets or mobile VR viewers might be tested in the stands. Jacobs says that the technology will inevitably be part of the future of sports, so it made sense to create the necessary network infrastructure now.

One use case would be to offer instant replays using virtual reality to give fans relatively far from the action an up-close experience. In the long term, Jacobs says, some fans may even prefer to pay for a seat in a movie theater-like space inside a stadium with high-end VR headsets rather than a conventional seat with a poor view.

It's crazy how many times this has had to be said.
