Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

hmmm... lol
well.. I guess others can tell u if your the only one.

Well i know Lucid said something similar when he bought mobile as to why the seller may have sold.

I never thought too much about it at that time, but yeah with some domineers putting their best names for sale knowing they can still get a large amount, it has crossed my mind now.

I've made a few big aftermarket buys, but a few weeks ago I wanted 1 more and was offering upto mid 4 figures for some names, no one was interested, but yesterday like waiting ages for a bus 2 comes along at once  probably coincidence though.

If traffic is any indicator then VR isn't going anywhere but up (at least on my end.)

VRSE moved to domain hack With.in.

Possible the only great thing about the name change is it led me (and probably others) to discover the much cooler business currently located at Within. com.

Let us see how long/if they sell.

with name like VRSE no wonder the dude couldn't pronounce it

with.in is cool
must have cost pretty penny too
but it means nothing unless you know what it means
VR+keyword means way more
even if you're a bushman or live under the sphinx

Hey bro. It's a good time to be buying but getting harder. I've been buying on the aftermarket also in the x,xxx range. Have also sold privately to media/branding outlets lately looking for VR names. Actually in talks right now with a C level exec in closing a big deal. It would be the top VR .com sale if allowed to report it. While I've been away from this thread, I've spent my time building relationships (one of the best things one can do). I see no decline anytime soon. I think the reason people are selling is it comes down to profit margin. It's really not a bad time to sell depending on which game you are playing. A lot of people got names at reg fee and or on the cheap in drops a year or 2 ago. A $1K or $2K payout is not bad. Cash in hand today is a powerful motivator. Some of us play the short game and others the long game. Profit to be made in both and risk associated with both.

I agree. in short no one knows the future. but... we do know the past and present. and there are tons of sales.. in all price ranges.. to all kinds of people.. dommainers and endusers.. no one can deny, invent or contradict that.. the future on the other hand.. anyone can invent.. try to imagine.

I leave it at that. listen to bostondomainer people.. all domaining is a risk and gamble. so just make the best of it! not based on someone's feelings about future.. but hard facts from past vr sales and research into present situation!

VR acronym is winning horse,
but good keywords are expensive,
VRSE is a poor brandable,
their change is a logic marketing step.

Personally I think they're making a mistake.

VRSE is a much cooler name than WITHIN.

They don't even own Within.com, what are they thinking :-/

yeah... but.. according to him, everyone using VR in their name is the one making the mistake.. so he set out to change the world. he must not be too clever within. so we must remain strong and clever within. the union of vr domainers.

It's easy. What's the biggest industry? Apps or games?

Apps can be games.
Still too big of a difference for me.

I agree... a difficult brandable for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is spelling/pronunciation disconnect. But the "With.in" hack is a loser, in my opinion... (Just you watch, if they decide to stick with it, they'll end up acquiring the dot-com... Betcha an ice cream!)

As to recent VR sales traffic, well, as they say in Game of thrones, "Winter is coming..." (Or in this instance, "Summer is coming...") I always try to bank some dollars before the slow summer months... I suspect others are doing the same... Also, as someone noted, a lot of these VR sales are hand-regs and making a $1000 off a $20 buck investment is a beautiful thing... (And as they say in the stock market, take profits when presented...;))

VR-games.net - 3000$
VR-apps.com-379$

Every deal is different.

Everyone values their names differently, everyone is in different circumstances, everyone has their own "happy place". :)

I've never invested in any VR domains until recently.

Would - V R H E A D S E T . STORE & V R G A M E S . STORE be worth anything? If so, could anyone give me an estimate of what they'd price these domains at?
