Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Yo Pros!!

Thinking of Auctioning these top names (dot coms):

ImmersiveVR

NewyorkVR

HolidayVR

VegasVR

The time is right or should I hold on for some more time!!?

Cheers!

I've liked ImmersiveVR for a while, as you know, i messaged trying to buy it with a 4 figure offer in the past, I'm not sure if i could offer that now though, I think I'm happy with what I've got and just concentrating on the ones i have now tbh, at least until i make a few sales.

VegasVR is another i like, HolidayVR whilst still is a good name, is probably the weakest out of the 4 imo.

Send me a pm if you do put them in auction just so i know where they are if i do have a change of mind and decide to bid.

VR pioneers Felix & Paul raise nearly $7 million as Comcast jumps into virtual-reality game

Felix & Paul Studios, the upstart Montreal company that is establishing itself as a major virtual-reality player, has raised $6.8 million, a large portion of it fromComcast.

The Quebec-based firm announced the funding Wednesday morning, saying that in exchange for its lead investment, the Universal Pictures parent would receive a board seat and work closely with the VR company. Homegrown entity Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec, the China-based LDV Partners and current financier Phi Group also are part of the financing round, the company said.

Felix & Paul will use the money to ramp up technology such as cameras as well as development and production efforts, with new pieces of entertainment expected to result from the funds.

I vote for Sedo, especially if you've already received offers on their platform, set a reserve and you're ready to go.

6 Of The Best Marketing Uses Of Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is one of the latest technologies marketers are trying to wrap their heads around to figure out how to best utilize the tool to achieve brand objectives. While we’re only at the tip of the iceberg in terms of impactful ways to use VR for marketing, several pioneers have found creative ways to do it well and support their unique value propositions. VR is being strategically used as a tactic to:

• Demonstrate product attributes, features, functionality (Samsung Gear VR)

• Communicate the brand’s mission at point of sale (Tom’s)

• Immerse users in a branded entertainment experience and add excitement at pop-up events for social media sharing (Game of Thrones)

• Help consumers make more informed choices so they’ll be happier with their purchases (Lowe’s)

• Add a new, more immersive and exhilarating dimension to traditional print and video story-telling (The New York Times)

• Show how a brand can fit into an aspirational lifestyle (Mercedes)

VR marketing is certainly coming. It might be take a little bit time though, because it really only starts making sense when there is a large install-base. But VR marketing is going be so much more engaging than regular marketing, that there is certaily lot of potential.

Resolution Games’ ‘Bait!’ Passes Half a Million Downloads on Gear VR
http://uploadvr.com/resolution-games-bait-passes-half-million-downloads-gear-vr/
That is very impressive, considering that as game it is rather simplistic - although entertaining.

nice, Fishing / io here

Soon the web will be opensourced for VR; you won't even have to download any apps or games, just connect to webVR like mozilla

Toolkits such as Destinations workshop will allow you to create and export your own environments to web. Think of each destination a different website.

This is serious stuff coming!!

You’ll Soon See Michael Bay Explosions in VR

We’ve seen several Michael Bay-esque experiences in VR, but soon we’ll get to experience the real thing.

The Hollywood director, known for his explosive set pieces in action-packed movies, has this week revealed a collaboration with a VR production studio named The Rogue Initiative. Together, the pair will create original content that spans both VR and other interactive platforms. According to a press release, projects will feature the “gritty, danger-close action” that Bay has become known for thanks to hisTransformers series alongside other blockbusters. Bay will also join the Initiative as a strategic advisor.

Decided to list probably my best English language VR domain for auction. Acquired it with some development plans, but have realized I don't have time to run another VR related site.

thats great item!
old too!

let's see where it goes.

good thingn you protect yourself with reserve. even though it always slows down auction and lowers end price. but.. I'd do the same in your shoes. its too early still.

Thanks. I tried to set the reserve at what I consider reasonable amount for this domain, but yeah I need some protection, in case Flippa has technical problems or something. :)

Hold. Definitely hold unless of course you get the right offer. But then again, you lose nothing by hosting an auction if it doesn't reach your reserve.

Just hand regged this amazingly rare dot com a few mins ago.

VRQueers

Again, the people saying that there aren't any good ones left to reg are lying - they're either lazy, uncreative or want to keep them all to themselves lol....

P.S.This is not an adult name so no need to flag it.
