Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Give it some time.

HTC made a announcement at the 7th of june that shipment to customers will be within 2 to 3 days because they have managed to ramp up the production of the Vive. More and more people will now have a high-end device.

1. VR consumer base is growing with the day.
2. Offers from end users will be growing with the expansion of the consumer base.

The next 6 months will be very important.

Im sure.. I only got 20 names, not expecting miracles :)

craziest thing I have seen with the Vive and I confirm it works is the Dolphin VR Nintendo Gamecube Emulator.

I tried this game and when you start your face is literally in the trees; then notice at 50 second mark he zooms in the freaking photo mario has on his desk; and you can see it's Princess, Luigi, and Mario.

Nintendo probably knows about this and I am sure they are working on something to port all their old titles to VR; ALL their games work in VR. there was another scene in paper mario where I was fighting the first scene boss inside a theater and I was inside enclosed in the theater.

In this one you can see he puts his head in places you could never see in the 2D experience.

Steam has also confirmed DolphinVR project for future development.

of course improvements can be worked on but this is a start.

Chernobyl VR

That is an actual project - they are creating a VR recording of the site.

http://www.theguardian.com/environm...ruth-into-heart-of-chernobyl-nuclear-disaster

Chernobyl VR, as the project is plainly titled, is due to launch this month. It’s just one of a number of projects around the world using this emerging technology to allow people to visit places that are otherwise difficult or impossible to access. French researchers have recreated the site of the Normandy landings; another team has turned scenes depicted in Van Gogh’s paintings into virtual rooms that can be entered and explored.

Virtual reality is the future for brand promotion

A growing consumer market has led Asia-Pacific to be a dynamic region in terms of providing virtual reality and augmented reality experiences. The most recent example is that of Etihad Airways, whose latest advertising campaign includes a 360-degree virtual reality film, titled Reimagine.

Another recent instance of a mass scale virtual reality activity in India is that of Tata Tiago’s advertisement in a national daily. The activity was conducted in April this year, where the newspaper carried a DIY virtual reality headset in select editions. The initiative, part of Tiago’s #Fantastico campaign, gave consumers a chance to sample the brand’s virtual reality content, albeit at a very basic level. Deloitte Global’s A Billion Dollar Niche TMT Predictions 2016 study looks at 2016 as a time when companies will experiment with virtual reality for sales and marketing purposes.

Could virtual reality make my life better?

p03w1sdc.jpg

Presented byJulia Hardy

1.The road to reality

The possibility of being transported to fantastical worlds through a virtual reality headset has been promised for decades. Now, with nine million headsets set to ship in 2016, VR can finally no longer be considered a fad or tech show curiosity.

As virtual reality reaches our homes, will it lead us to become more disconnected, or could it actually improve our lives?

2.Back to the future

Virtual reality has existed in differing shapes and forms for a long time. The term ‘virtual reality’ was coined in the 1980s, but the idea has been around a lot longer than that.

Take a look at how the evolution of the technology has turned VR from an abstract concept into something of substance.

3.Real love?

Relationships can be tricky things to get started. For those who may be shy or lacking in confidence, virtual reality might just offer a means to overcome such hurdles.

Imagine a first date stripped of the usual pressure. Just fix a time to "meet" the person you’ve been matched with (if only in avatar form) and, if the date is going badly, you can simply disconnect. It may seem an impersonal first step towards a partnership, but would logging in for a virtual meal be any different to not swiping right?

There is likely to be an initial stigma attached to virtual reality dating, much like that originally associated with online dating, but industry experts predict that it will, in time, become the next step in the evolution of dating: faster, safer and more convenient.

There are also, of course, concerns. Could the ability to experience successful relationships, without the need for human contact, lead to greater social isolation? Would the value we place on human relationships decrease? The concept of VR dating is still in its infancy and, as with all emergent technology, it is difficult to predict, but the next decade will almost certainly see a huge change in how people begin, maintain and
even avoid relationships.

Ubisoft announces four-player co-op Star Trek VR game

One player is captain, the others are tactical, engineering, and helm.

Following what appears to be a leak over at DigitalSpy, Ubisoft today abruptly announced Star Trek: Bridge Crew, a four-player cooperative VR game. The game takes place in the Star Trek universe established by the JJ Abrams films, and it will be shown off during Ubisoft's press conference on Monday at E3 2016.

According to the ABC news article Ubisoft linked in their post-leak announcement tweet, Bridge Crew will be the "...first-ever virtual reality game being created by publisher Ubisoft and developer Red Storm Entertainment. The interactive four-player experience casts players as the captain or either a tactical, engineering or helm officer aboard the starship Aegis."

Coincidentally I reg FirstBloodVR.com yesterday. Amazingly "First Blood" as a term is not TM by the Rambo franchise at least can't be found on USPTO.gov. except by a company not related to vr.

Best part?"First Blood" gets 550,000 searches per month.

Great brandable for virtual fighting game.

FirstBloodVR.com

"Who will draw First Blood."

Or

"Who will Bleed First"

Or
"Who will be the First to Bleed."

Would you buy such VR game?;)

I know I would!
