Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Okay, so things just got reeeally strange...

Here's an article about guys going through wedding ceremonies with "virtual" brides from a Japanese erotic game... This may be good for my WeddingVR domain, but sheesh, this frankly weirds me out!!!! ;)

man, I decided to trim down a lot on my folio.. just cause I had a lot of VR domains.. but I'm thinking down the years I'll be regretting dropping some "average" keywords.. think pupilVR or vrdogfight 4 figure sales.. or even my recent vrconfiguration. thevrfashion.. and stuff like that.. there is a lot of average keyword sales already!

so I say this cause yet again today I got a nice mid XXX offr on a pretty average vr+kw.com .. the kind of which me and few people on here too probably wouldn't hve a first intinct to keep or renew.. so.. yes, for big big 5-6 figure sales.. down the road. you will probably need premium keywords.. and bigger companies/products to buy them.. but let's not forget the smaller guys.. the smaller companies.. countless product/service sites.. enduser fan or whatever websites people will decide to create for/about VR etc.. imo those will in many cases/keywords yield nice 3-4 figure sales!!! in potentially large numbers of domains!

imo VR domain sales truly will come in 2 categories.. premium keywords.. 5-6 figure sales.. to bigger companies or products/services... and then average keywords.. non premium.. with potentially many more sales than premium (just cause there are fewer premium keywords of coursE).. but in smaller amounts.. so I'll say 3-4 figures on those.

anyway, I wil be closing this offr shortly, and posting sold name later on.

wow! and another mid XXX offr on a very average VR domain on gd today.... kw+vr this time.. mid XXX right off the bat.. 1 month old handreg.. now I'm going to take what I just said above even more seriously.. and probably reconsider my strategy to slim down heavily on my average VR keyword domains! VR is totally on the roll! I always said VR domains doesn't just need to be about premium keywords and 5-6 sales... it can be about avereage keywords and 3-4 sales too! there will be imo enough little endusers, or even smaller companies or whatrever else.. who will not only not be able to afford premium names but simply not even need them... little guys who just want VR info sites.. or countless other thigns.. my recent sale of VRstatus.com now developped.. also middish XXX.. is decent example of this.. except tons more like this in years to come imo! you might as well make sure your there iwth some VR domains when those guys need their VR domains! imo

you definitely know a niche is hot and hotter once your average names start selling or getting offers.. most niches its only premium stuff! and this is just year 1 for VR.. so do the math and imo expect a very fruitful and eventful future for VR and VR domains too as result! not just becasue of my few average keywords sales.. but also because of the other bunch of documented average keyword and suprise sales no one really expected!

I already dropped a few tens of average domains.. a bunch got picked up on gd expired too... stuff like vradoption.....vrfeast...vrdivorce.. and many will be back to registration pool soon for all to grab! :) so this is roughly what I mean by average.. but of course.. there are couple thousands so called average keywords around :)

looks like I'll be closing 2 mid XXX sales shortly... will report names later on.

Don’t know how you do it, i get a lot of offers on GoDaddy (my best names mainly) but they are always $50-$200.

VR+Video & VR+4U are on Page1 of GoDaddy now when you see which VR domains have had most offers and VR+Experiences just outside, all been really low though, had to change VR+Video to minimum offer of $10,000.

well.. when you talk about gd auctions.. then there isn't really all that much you can do. you just list it and wait for offers.

I guess the only stategy you can apply is post bin or make offer only.

in my case everything is makeoffer only. plus I tend to redirect my domains to gd sale lander for traffic

cheers

oh yes.. I forgot to say.. all my VR stuff is min $20 too :)
yes it gets few extra low ball offers.. but who cares..
its like a small tiny free adrenaline rush couple times a day haha
plus even though I talk about average keywords selling 3-4 figures... let's not forget those vr names some of us wouldn't mind selling for 2 figures.. hey roi is roi and it beats dropping them for noting! hehe
and so for that.. you need $20 min

I think you are playing it smart.

Congrats on the sales!

Regarding the $20 GD offers, my advice is to put a minimum bid of at least $100. There are lots of boring people who are bidding for pleasure to test the market. Are like flies that annoy and do not formalize any sale.

I think disclosing the selling price of your names for such low bids is counterproductive.

By the way, I have an offer of $1500 for LLLLLVR.com.

Good hunting.

Recently sold V / i /r / t / u / a l / R / o / c / k / e / t / in the kingcom for $900 Afternic BIN "mistakenly" (someone else listed it in their own account "accidentally" for so cheap and I clicked the verification mail with no doubt as I was listings many names already at that time, without checking the price and if it is in my account, but I was the owner). Still happy with a good return, bought at GoDaddy Drop Auction for $133 on 4/16/15, buyer got a really great deal with the VR trends, mostly an investor.

Yes the buyer paid the $5,000 via Flippa wire escrow and the name has been transferred successfully, but he seemed to have forgotten to change the WHOIS as via NetFirms it has to be done manually. Will contact him about that.

It happens. I sold a $10k 4L domain about three years ago and the owner just changed the whois last month.

Congrats on the sale!
