Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

I'm not sure what Chess/com sold for, but that seems a little low for V/R//C/h/e/s/s.

I'd personally hold out for quite a bit more.

JMHO, but I think the VRrated is a solid single, less likely a double...(Pardon me, I have baseball on my mind today...) I can see a couple of "use cases" for the the domain, one being along the lines of VRrated being equated with "VRready" or VR capable. In the alternative, another use along the lines of TV or movie ratings. (Because of the intensity of VR experiences, many expect some sort of rating system to evolve to protect children, elderly, psychologically vulnerable, etc. from potentially harmful content.) To this end, I'm holding a couple of related names, but my expectations are pretty modest for these... (Maybe $$$ to very low $$$$ at the very top end...) I think for your name, probably the same ballpark...

Although I am still not completely sure, as of today I believe that the triumphant form of domain names will be keyword + vr.

Of course there will be valued names with the other form, vr + keyword, but it will be very much the opposite use.

Also some keyword + vr + keyword will be well valued, but in much less proportion (I mean things like mobile, live, online, etc., + vr + keyword).

Many companies, many products, many existing services will retain their brand, their name at the beginning and will be added vr the end.

This is being the main trend in VR's childhood and, I believe, it will be maintained over time.

Imho.
