Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Now everyone is going VCrazy.

Don't forget to think for yourself guys.

If someone said that e+VR had potential would you start regging sh*t like eVRCasino.com?

Or maybe they are seeing that some VR companies have gone with single ‘v’ like vTime or looking at NameBio and seeing sales.

I’m just looking now and:-

vSnap.com, vClip.com, vMotions.com, vP*rno.com, vSolutions.com, vBet.net ($5,800)

Have all sold for 4 figures in the past 6 months, that’s comparable to any VR related sales excluding LLLL.

If you choose not to invest in single ‘v’ it that’s fair enough and your choice, but some people do believe in them and most importantly they sell, results are there to see.

Exactly, just because some domainers buy names others don't like, doesn't make them wrong. They may well know something you don't.

Some companies my see V as more brandable than VR. Plus it doesn't tie them down to just virtual reality.

Only VR domains that I have left :( :

VRSpectrum.com
VRLeak.com
VRHarvest.com
VRTRX.com (Virtual Reality Therapy Rx)
VRGrand.com

Not much not much. Are these quality enough to annually renew until I get a good offer to sell them at?

It's funny being such early adoptors to VR. when I was telling people at work about this over a year ago, I got funny looks. now they are buying VR headsets for their kids. that's what I love about domaining in the tech niche. we are always one step ahead to the mass population which means greater opportunity!

Exciting times.

Grabbed this one. Though never a fan of quantity, but there were some good ones worth going for, so snapped it.
That's a good buy, congrats... Sell off shot term hold and keep the long term VR investments :xf.smile:

IMO It's probably a good thing you stopped yourself...There are many other factors involved in a good name besides being registered in another variation. Again, just my opinion...Best of luck to you!

When Was Virtual Reality Invented?

Many people assume that virtual reality is a recent arrival on the technological scene,

but in fact, it goes back much further than many of us realise.

There are three separate issues here which are discussed as separate articles within this section. They include:

How did virtual reality begin?
Who invented virtual reality?
Who coined the term virtual reality?
Virtual reality timeframe

These provide a framework for virtual reality which spans a period of more than 70 years.

In this time we saw the development of the first simulation device, the first form of interactive multimedia theatre,

and the first head mounted display (HMD) and the use of virtual reality in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI).

Virtual reality came to the public’s attention in the late 1980’s and 1990’s.

This can be attributed to pioneering computer scientist Jaron Lanier who introduced the world back in 1987 to the term ‘virtual reality’.

Research into virtual reality continued into the 1990’s and that combined with the appearance of films such as The Lawnmower Man helped to raise its profile.

Did you see my previous post about v+short top quality keywords?

My point is that people see us talking about V and all of a sudden go on a regging spree grabbing whatever word they see available regardless of quality with a V.

I understand that it's a forum where we share information about what can possibly work, but I do think it's worth reminding some vulnerable folks to be little more selective and think for them selves.

I'm even going against the general consensus in this thread that WebVR domains are worthless (I've already made my money back on all of mines, with many more to sell :-D). My point is to be aware of what you're actually doing and not behave like blind sheeple.

After two days of playing with the Oculus Touch -controllers, I'm more sure than ever that VR is going to be huge once the prices of Oculus Rift -like systems come down. Good times ahead, I think.

I think that's what @Winfluence was talking about

V+strong 1keyword can work

V+others =a big big gamble

I say, stick to VR/Virtual in cases like that.
