Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
We all have our beliefs at the end of the day, some believe even the weaker variants of keywordVR domain names will still have high demand, some believe in other niches more like Mixed Reality/Augmented Reality over Virtual Reality.

I guess that’s beauty of future tech, no one knows for sure.

I can only speak for myself, I’ve invested well into 5 figures on virtual related domains and consider vShopping dot com my best and highest ceiling domain I own.

As said look at vCommerce and past ‘e’ ‘I’ ‘u’ domains and companies and look at the potential of Virtual Shopping – I just think it could be massive, I’ve already turned down a biggish offer for it, not sure if it was Virtual related or from the .co or .pk extension, but no way I’m letting it go yet as I believe In it so much.

I wouldn't go that far. V is not new. And it won't be nearly as successful as e+keyword, and maybe not even as successful as i+Keyword.

I could be wrong but don't bet on it with a sh*t load of v names. You may be sorry! You're probably better off with virtual names.

The :xf.wink: was there to suggest I wasn't being 100% serious. It's unlikely V will become as big as E because E is MASSIVE, but I still believe it will be successful.

With V standing for Virtual, it isn't limited to just VR, but can also be applied to anything that isn't real or is a replica/recreation of something else.

@gilescoley

While I understand your points, I think you're being kinda hard on the guy. Clearly the owner of that portfolio will be making more money than god. He probably wants out from being a domainer. I know I would if you're making 5 figures a month. Is he going to let decent names expire, or he is going to throw them on Flippa in a one off auction and let the chips fall where they may. This also gives an opportunity to those who came very late to the game to get their foot in the door.

The names aren't bad. I could probably sell the VR+Cities straight off the bat. :xf.wink: If I had the cash I would have purchased that portfolio.

Try not to compare VR to other industries in my opinion. I know your experience as a veteran is very valuable to everyone here, but do believe me when I tell you VR will f*cking explode bigger than probably any niche you have encountered before.

This isn't a sprint, this is a marathon. Some people will drop out at the beginning for whatever reason, some in the middle, if you want the decent money, get the decent names and hold.

If you are a quick flipper than yes price may fluctuate by people 'dumping' their portfolios in the short term. This happens in all markets from Forex and Stocks to selling cattle I bet.

VR is hot and prices will skyrocket. This is inevitable. Demand will exceed supply (of decent names). Have the faith, stay the course.

Just my opinion. Good luck to all.

Couldn't have said it better myself :)

Hey guys this is only my opinion... (y)

It's good to have positive and negative VR/Virtual domain reviews as it keeps it interesting and helps other domainers make their own opinions on what are good or bad investments for their VR portfolio.

In business I often conduct a focus group meetings on our products to find out the best way of increasing sales and to find out the positive and negatives. This is no different with VR domains or other niches IMO :xf.smile:

nothing really stand out in the list
he kept much better back

over $1,250 USD now

Ended now.

I would have bid, but don't have the strength to deal with that amount of names tbh :nailbiting:

I think what i would have done if i was Dan is put all the Geo VR domains seperate.

Might have made it a bit more appealing to an investor (might have gone for more too), you don't end up getting 80% of domains you don't want then.

I may have bid on an auction of 20-30 Geo VR names.

Grabbed this one. Though never a fan of quantity, but there were some good ones worth going for, so snapped it.

Daniel hasn't sold all his VR names. He has some incredible ones left that are not in auction anywhere.

One more of his auctions left.
Good luck to him
