Hi everyone! The 3D market appears to be exploding! Record takes at the box office by movies such as Avatar and Alice in Wonderland and the announcement this week of the new 3D TV which is set to hit markets shortly have helped buoy interest in 3D multimedia platforms. Even the major American television network NBC has jumped in and will be broadcasting the NCAA Final Four basketball games in 3D!

A direct beneficiary from this renewed interest and greatly improved 3D technology is the domain business. Some of you had foresight many years ago and reg'd great names early on. Others (myself included) have only become aquainted with 3D domaining more recently, but see the huge potential this market has opened up for domainers.

Let this be the place for you to show off your 3D domain names. Ask for opinions, marketing strategies or even an appraisal or guesstimation of value. Also, feel free to post any relevant news releases/articles related to the 3D industry.

I will start the thread off with a few of my own reg's..

3DHighDefinitionTV.com (also have plural)
3DHomeEntertainment.co.uk
3DHometheaters.org
3DStreamingMovie.com
3DVancouver.com
3DWhistler.com

Saucey. ;)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
$90,000 is the asking price which will never happen. The 5 "Bids" are previous offers which can be as low as $60.

Brad

Why shocked? There are lots of older 3d domains in the aftermarket. "3D" as a term wasnt invented 1 month ago.

I think what he meant was he has been a member here since 2003
and he is shocked that he got that name and should somehow maybe know
better.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is not one person alive today that this does not apply to. I don't think anyone can say that they have not found something attractive, when everyone else can't see the attraction.
It only becomes a problem if you are out of sync with the majority most of the time. :imho:

What do you think of sportson3dtv.com

I think it's very much like my names. ie. not the first in the queue. Killer product and sevices are first such as 3d tv, 3d laptop, 3d movies/cinema after they are established then names like mine may have a chance. This of course, is just my opinion.

Not sure why you feel qualified to "think" what he meant...and then post it ;)

But if that's not what he meant (and none of our business since he didn't post it)
...then that is quite the insult from you - and you've been here what...5 minutes?

Not my intent to insult anyone but thanks anyway.
Yes about 5 minutes.

Just curious what people think is better, I know what I like, just nice to hear some opinions
Which would you say is a better name for 3D Compuers/desktop/PCs, especially if you arent going to develop, but would be aimin to sell to an end-user?

A short .com, that is the abbreviated word like this (3D PC's)

3DPCs.com

or a .net domain that describes the product perfectly and cant be misread in anyway

3DComputer.net

Which is better?? Thanks all

If I had the choice between the two, I would go with 3dcomputer.net

I just seen the first 3d product advert on TV, it was a curry's advert selling a 3D LED TV, this name in the .com was first registered in Feb 2010. There is still hope out there.

I have developed one of my 3d names
3diplayer.com

Yep, the 3D "product" names are doing really well. I can confirm that I sold 3Dmobilephone.net for $350 yesterday too.
