Hello folks :)

I thought this would be an interesting thread. I know there have been polls on age etc, But I don't recall a thread about how old you were when you got into domaining. :tri:

Wasn't quite sure which forum to put this in. So if it's in the wrong forum then Admin/Mods..would you kindly move :)

I'll start it off..
I was 15 when I got into domaining. ;)

And sorry, If I happened not to include YOUR age group :tri: :p

I guess I consider myself a domainer since about 2000 with my first registration in 96.
Well said, just about the same for me; the first domain I registered was on behalf of an organization in my town. I really didn't get into domaning until 2001, 2002.

Its been fun, and although I am not a excessive domain trader, I can answer many of the questions that a lot of people have about the industry. Its my goal to teach a class about the history of domain names and briefly discussing the creation of the internet starting with computers in the 50's.

I don't know what company coined the term, but "I live for this stuff!"

Just recently at 22. Though I have been on the net since Prodigy started... anyone else remember Prodigy?? During my teen years I guess I focused all of my energy on getting laid. Looking back I wish I concentrated on the net instead of girls! *smacks head* Oh well I guess it was still fun, though not worth what I could of had if I let the correct head do the thinking! :guilty:

I use to sell keywords for Realnames about 4 years ago when they were contracted out by Microsoft, but only started buying and selling domains in the past year. If only I got into back then as opposed to drinking so much beer and picking up girls. But really there are no regrets. Lol this is a fun industry.
