Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. I'm sorry about that, a change was made on Paypal's side that caused the Paypal payment links to show that error when used, our team has since made the necessary changes on our side and the links should be working as normal again.

If you're still seeing an error when using the payment links please let us know so our team can investigate that further. If you do see an error you should still be able to submit payment with Paypal by using the yellow 'PayPal Checkout' button shown after your order has been submitted.

There are a number of posts in here from Dynadot/NP users showing problems, downtime, errors, bugs etc. Every company has them now and then, most keep them secret (I'm sure Dynadot doesn't reveal them all) but it's about how they're handled.

An apology in here and a pretty prompt fix - what more can a business do?

I have used Dynadot for years and never had any issues, I don't have a huge amount of domains there to be fair, but always found the prices decent and the site functionality pretty nice. Logical and easy to use UI.

Just saying thanks really, among all the niggles and moans reported :)

Getting a lot of spam emails and phone calls regarding domains I have recently purchased at Dynadot that have privacy enabled...?

They have free privacy. You just need to check your whois to see if you are under privacy.

Remember that some extensions (for example .us) doesn't allow privacy in the whois

Yes, they are .com's and have privacy enabled. And, I'm aware of the privacy on the other extensions. Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that, could you please PM us with your Dynadot username and confirmation of some of the domains involved so we can investigate this? The privacy service is automatically applied upon registration if your account has privacy enabled by default, so there should be no contact information available through the Whois record.

Emails sent to your domain's privacy email address are forwarded to the email address in the underlying contact record however, so it is possible for some spam emails to be received if they're not picked up by our spam filter. You shouldn't be receiving any phone calls regarding the domains however, as your phone number is never displayed when using our privacy service.

From our side, there would be the 5% listing fee from the marketplace sale, and the additional 5% payout fee if the funds are withdrawn. Unfortunately, PayPal may also charge additonal fees for international accounts. Usually, these fees would be a maximum of $4.99 and would only be deducted from the payout funds for payout requests of under $500.00.

For some recipient accounts, PayPal will not deduct the charge when we send the funds but will instead deduct a fee of up to 5% (we find that the fee is commonly around 3%) from the amount received by the buyer. Unfortunately, when this is the case PayPal doesn't provide us with the option of deducting the fee from our side.

I'm not familiar with the mass payment service myself, but it looks like PayPal stopped offering the service in September 2017 and only existing users are able to use PayPal's Mass Pay service. As we didn't offer payouts until November it's likely that the service wasn't available to our team, unfortunately.

if they stopped it then sedo gd dan etc would not be using it. but they do.

it is however possible I have the wrong name for it.. perhaps another member can correct if not then maybe a repnof another company like even bodis can clarify briefly @matt_bodis ... many tnx.

PayPal's website states that the Mass Pay service was deprecated in September 2017, however existing users are able to continue using the service which is likely why the companies mentioned are still able to send mass payments.
