opinion Does it bother you when you contact someone on NP and they ask way too much for their domain name?

I recently, made an offer on a domain for about what it appeared worth. It is a .one extension domain and 4L the seller replied back $8,000. Then, they said it is great deal because they say it would go for $12,000 at namescon. This was all on namepros.
Question:
Does it bother you when you contact someone on namepros and they ask way to much, perhaps even thousands for a domain that is worth xx or maybe like $200 yet they want x,xxx or even xx,xxx?

Many of us envision certain domains having extraordinary value. It's fun. No response is worse.

no, at all. because it may not be my decision to decide how the domain worth but for sure it's my decision to decide if I should buy it or not.

It isn't being a typical seller by trying to get as much money as possible for their assets (domains)

And doesn't a typical buyer try to pay as little money as possible to acquire assets (domains)

Please note I am only referring too non-delusional buyers and sellers.

To answer the question, personally I feel it just part of doing business. I just reply to a high offer with a 10% raise in mine and hopefully the negotiation start..

Nope. It is the domain owners prerogative to ask any price they want...no matter how unrealistic it is.

Nope. I would rather wonder what am I missing to valuate the domain lower than the seller :xf.confused:

The actual response you got on your $10 offer was "lmao" wasn't it @Daniel Owens.
And the number you made up on this Bogus post was in reference to a totally different name wasn't it @Daniel Owens?
A totally different domain that was not even named in the pm, was it @Daniel Owens ?
Also a price was never mentioned in relation to the domain you made an offer on was it? @Daniel Owens
A fact the mods can verify if needed.

Maybe you should post another thread entitled;

" Does it bother you when people on NP don't tell the truth? "

Grow Up kid. ;)

Note: To others it is against rules to crash threads. Whoever, this guy is he probably hates my last name or something or where I am from.

I think it's best to not waste energy getting bothered.... if the person feels that's what their domain is worth.... then it's their baby. If you feel it's not worth that much then wish them well and move on... IF the seller is delusional and comes to his/her senses later on then they will likely hit you up in a few months saying they willing to do a deal at a more reasonable price OR if you were wrong then you will see the domain getting sold for $xxxx. Either way, the potential value of a domain anyone's guess... all that matter is right now the domain in question is worth $xx to you but the seller thinks it's $xxxx ... unlikely a deal can be done so best to just move on.

I agree with @Silentptnr that it's worse to not reply... So many people start domains wanted threads here on NP and when you send them domains that meet their spec they lack basic manners and common courtesy to reply. That's something that used to annoy the hell out of me, now I just accept it. If they were raised to be poorly mannered people and not have any courtesy, that's their baby..not mine :)

@deez007 I am afraid to pm most people in make an offer thread, or that post domains in chat. They, totally over value them a lot of the time.

Do most of you agree that on namepros most people pay less for domains than average? Should we avoid end-user pricing here?
