Hi all,

I tried finding another thread about this, but the search terms brought up so many unrelated topics, I'm not sure if my question is even in there. I'm sure someone with more time on the board is probably going to link a previous thread. Heh...

Anyway...

I wanted to contact someone to ask if they were ever going to consider selling a domain or putting it up for auction, etc.

However, their contact info for the domain is incorrect.

I contacted the company they're registered with, asking if there was any way to give him a notice that his info was incorrect... so I could check again later... but they were absolutely no help. Essentially they just closed the help chat window. Heh.

So...

Does anyone have any sort of advice on how to get in touch with this dude? Right now I'm drawing a blank. :\

Just out of luck?

How do you know for certain the whois info is invalid? Nonetheless, have you tried going through a third party to acquire the name? Most registrars have an option to choose "acquire this name" or something similar. You pay their fee and they go to whatever lengths and methods needed to contact the owner and initiate the process.

If you haven't already you can also try to call the Registrar rather than using internet chat. However, if not an option, contact them again via live chat and restart the inquiry.

In the interim, see if you can get any part of his info via other searches. Google the domain name and follow any potential avenues that may come up. Best of luck.

-Regards
