Hi Guys, hope you can help me out with this one.

Basically, I was contacted by someone via the parking page offering $100 for unrevivable.com. However, the return email address they gave does not work (it seems to be a spam resistant, temporary email address). They gave their name but I can't find them on Facebook. They also gave a phone number but it was in the format (xxx) xxx-xxx-xx which I don't recognise as I come from the UK.
Does anyone have any idea how I can either dial the number correctly or contact the seller?

Thanks,

beauchampboiler

Did you google the phone number or part of it with the name?

You can also put up your own page on the domain in case they check it again.

Thanks for responding.
I'm in the process of uploading a page but it will take at least 24 hours for the DNS servers to transfer over to 000webhost.
No luck searching for the phone number or the name unfortunately. Does anyone know how I dial a number of that format using Skype from the UK?

I'm starting to think that this might be a scam. The email address is an (at)rmqkr address, which seems to be a 10 minute temporary email address for email verification for sign ups on websites and stuff. I don't know why anyone would use one for enquiring about a domain. Also the first part of the phone number (the bit in brackets, the area code I think), begins with a 1, which I didn't think was possible in the North America dialing system (assuming it is a North American number).

Any thoughts?

Search this on Google:

"united states international dialing code"

They might be completely new at this and thought you'd get back to them within five minutes. That you're a corporation, or something...

Very strange. I wouldn't sweat it too much because even if it's not a scam, someone going about it this way may not be an experienced or serious buyer in the end.

You might get the response we all dread after sale: "Okay now what do I with my domain?"
