Hi everyone,

I’m new to the domain game and I think I might`ve jumped in too deep. Bought a few names that I love, but I have no clue if they actually worth anything or if I’m just delusional.

I’m trying to learn the ropes from the pros here:

  1. What’s actually liquid? What sells fast?
  2. What’s the difference between a random name and a $10K+ sale?
  3. How do you spot a $50K+ domain? Is there a formula, or is it just pure luck?
I’m here to learn and avoid getting burned.

What's the real secret? Give it to me straight.

How is anyone supposed to have an idea if you wasted your money, when you don't even say what your names are?

Most names are a waste of money though, most names don't (re)sell, so yeah you probably wasted your money.

You've almost certainly wasted money if you bought names you love, unless you're going to develop them.

1. What's "liquid" (I hate that term) are in-demand names that are not overpriced.

2. What do you mean by "random" domain? Most names on DNJournal look "random" to me, but they're obviously specific to whoever bought them.

3. If there's a formula for producing $50k+ per item in some market, nobody is going to give it away.

There's really no secret (other than admitting there's no secret), no formula, no witchcraft, no magical landing pages.

All domains sell for the same 3 reasons: visibility, demand, price.

1. People know the name is available.
2. Someone wants the name.
3. They are willing to pay the asking price.

You can read or write all the blogs, threads and X engagement farming you want, but that's it.

Reading......

Plain and simple. 85 - 90% of domaining has been written about on namePros .

NEWBIE HERE! Did I just waste my money

Probably.

The odds of a newbie finding some great domains at the right price are low.

If they are hand registered domains, they are more than likely junk.

If they are aftermarket domains, who knows.

There is not enough information.

It's a simple 3 phase process.

All you have to do is figure out phase 2. 😂

Ultimately domains are the same as anything else.

You make mistakes until you learn to get it right until the mistakes are outweighed by the successes.

It's like investing in art. You can't learn everything about art and investments in one day.

Many domainers here have been buying and selling domains for 10-20+ years.

So learn, and keep learning, wait to buy anything until you know what is worth buying.

Welcome @DeeDDeal

Ask yourself, who will be ready, willing, and able to buy this domain from me... and why

I bought BOTexit.com --> I thought it was a brilliant double meaning --> Both as an autonomous AI agent and as a premium brand for infrastructure funds : Build Operate Transfer (BOT) Exit strategies .

Art usually sells a few hundred years later :)
