Then it was a local connection issue...
I also use preview at Bodis everyday when adding new domains... and no problems for me this year...

yes exactly. I do same thing I did today to preview domains countless times through the year and never had problems before. I am not clear what is meant by local connection issue, but if this has anything to do with my internet conection here, then as I said twice before, my connection was fine during this timeout period and I was able to access all of internet properly. ty.

ah ok. I see. thanks for clarifying. if that is indeed what it was, then it should not prevent other people from visiting my bodis pages. which is all I'm interested in.

I'll be sure to remember this information when I see similar occurences in future. thank you.

+ newly registered domains in some TLDs have the time lag before they will be UP in DNS and propagated through internet... this is another common situation.

good to know. it did not apply to case today as those were not recent regs but things I had added and running on bodis for many months now.

truth is, I took a good random sample of 20-30 domains to preview during this outage time and all of them were down. so I assume its safe to conclude my entire porotfolio was out during that time. ie: not a domain name dependant issue. but something more global/general. like a connection failure you mentioned possibly.

as long as others are able to visit my pages during these outages on my end, confusing as they can be as you see, then I am okay with it all. thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Then it was an issue on your route to Bodis... if the domains are not recent regs...
Contact Bodis directly... to recheck connection between your IP and their DC...

And if Dynamic IP is assigned to you by your provider - I recommend to order Static IP... it is more reliable...
Many Dynamic IPs are even banned by various blacklists...

I am no parking expert. so may I ask what is meant by local connection issue? unfortunately I did not take screenshot of it to assist you.. all I know is that I tried loading the "preview arrow icon" within my bodis manager for about 20 random domains during a span of about ~5-8 mins and all of them went into my blank/timed out type of screen in chrome.
all this while everything else on internet was loading for me fine. I do such previews for some domains quite regularly (again, not 24/7, obviously) and this has never occured to me before. ty

A "local issue" might be explained as something in between you and the final server you're trying to reach is having a temporary issue and so you cant get to that site for a while BUT others elsewhere are not having any issues.

if clicking on the preview domain button in domain mnager is considered abnormal behaviour, leading to a ban then perhaps this button should stop being available no?

besides.. I've done this action of previewing domains using this button coutnless times in past... and this never happened to me, during the times I used it before.

I'm sure Troy will help me understand this properly. so I can know what this in future if ever it happens to me again.

I hope its not something that could get us banned. I use it to make sure the ads are relevant to the domain.... Hoping we can get some clarification on this..

Yes, as @Jurgen Wolf and @AGAME pointed out, this temporary connection issue you've described would have been a limited one, such as ISP, router connection and confined to a limited IP range, if at all.

No, we do not actively block/blacklist the IP addresses of repeat visitors. We do however omit these visits from appearing within Reports if they reoccur within 24 hours.

I have said about many repeating requests from the same source for a very short period of time...
Usually they are banned by various firewalls...

How can I delete domains from my Reports view? There's several in there I no longer own and I'd like to delete them. I've already deleted it from my domain list but they still appear in the Report view.

As I know - the deletion from Reports is impossible with all parking companies.

At Bodis - IP... is it so hard to automatically resolve it on your side???
