Matt,

I really like what you have done with Bodis. I know its not done and forgive me if its already bee covered, but I think that the leading marketplaces do a disservice to the domaining community.

Traffic is important to a buyer like myself. However, of the few sites that provide traffic stats, like SEDO, they do not sort the traffic they report. The traffic they report includes all kinds of traffic when we know that all traffic isn't created equal.

This allows some people with less than ideal intentions to buy traffic and send it to their domain to inflate their traffic stats of a domain they have for sale in the marketplace. I only know this because I encountered it on two domains I have purchased from SEDO. I have yet to discover a reliable process to verify traffic stats or confirm the quality of the traffic reported.

Would you allow us to provide our google analtyics javascript code for a domain if we wanted to do this? If so, a potential buyer could provide his/her Google Analytics account info via the BODIS form when inquiring with a seller about a domain name. The seller could then add the potential buyer to his Google Analytics account for that particular domain name, allowing the seller to review the traffic quality.

Alternatively, can BODIS provide some similar service or separate (at least) the type-in traffic from referral or paid search traffic?

This or something like it would flip the domain marketplace/auction industry on its head, in my opinion.

I tried to look at the marketplace but the individual domain name page to see what it includes, but it says

Marketplace temporarily disabled as we upgrade our service

I would just like to request in the future (when you have the time) to add an Export feature in the reports so the reports can be exported to a .csv file.

Yes. I agree that revenue is definitely not immediately better than before. But here is how I look at the situation. Matt has given us a completely new domain parking platform, with more flexibility and customization options than anything else out there. Even though revenue isn't the greatest right now, this can be offset by using your own affiliate links on your pages. In the future, in order to get a yahoo or google feed, certain traffic requirements need to be met. So, if we all bail on bodis right now because the earnings aren't immediately better, we may miss that opportunity to get a good feed. And I am sure if bodis had a yahoo or google feed, it would probably blow all the other companies out of the water. I say we all give Matt, and Bodis, just a little while before we skip out because the earnings aren't immediately better. Just my opinion.

Will there be an "Inquire about this Domain" link added to the page so that potential buyers will know it's for sale?

I have the same opinion. Lets give Matt some time. Rome wasn't built in one day. Some people just want instant results. If you want to eat a good meal do you go to a Fast Food Joint?

Still looking for an answer and trying to understand this...

Also, upon the conversion, all my pictures/logos are too large and distorted. I don't see where I can delete images in the panel. A image size reminder somewhere in the picture panel would be helpful also...

If you go into the manage domain option then click on the picture itself you will be able to change it.

You can change the pictures using the library of photos or by uploading one from your PC. You can also add pics to the body or content area. Look at some of the links in my sig. (OK to link BODiS sites) if you would like to see examples.

when you enter manage domain names you then click on the name you wish to manage or change. If you click on the photo a window will pop up and you will clearly see the photo options.

You will also be able to set you MENU links by adding your own relevant keywords into the "add link" prompt.

You can change the header text by clicking on it. The colors can not be changed yet. Matt is working on it.

If you need any further help I would be glad to go into more detail if you like.

Good luck

RE:
Zero Click

I think this will be an optional payout feature. If you have names, like I do, that see good traffic but poor CTR then you may opt to choose the zero click feature. You would give up the single click value for a smaller rate with every visit rather than clicks only.

100 visits at .03 per visit = 3.00

-VS-

100 visits and 3 clicks at .10 each = .30

I'm only assuming and I don't know any details. This just my assumption. Some names would do better with this option. I have a few names I will set to zero click once the system is more stable.

RE:
Members leaving BODiS

I can only say I will stay and in fact I'm going to increase my portfolio in an effort to drive as much traffic as I can onto BODiS servers and try to give back just a fraction of what I'm getting in return. I'm sure Matt, Donnie and other NPs members running parking services will tell you to do what is best for you. Go where the money is for your portfolio. No hard feelings. Personally I would like to see that done with some class and dignity rather than threats in thread.

I'm not speaking of your comment directly. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a bunch of threats of leaving. I should have been more clear. I'm assuming several people will opt. out, for what ever reason, and feel a need to lash out. I do not feel this is what you did.

Also I tried to state it is understandable to want to relocate names. To each his/her own.

The images are 620x240 pixels in size. Not sure if you can delete the pics, but its easy to substitute them by others with the correct size.

Fragger is right, Matt needs the domains and the traffic to get better feeds. If we stick with him we get 100% of parking fees, and if we get the Yahoo feed then our PPC will go up significantly.

If you go to others now you are not going to do any better than Bodis. Parking is dead and Bodis is the best prospect we have right now. Parked.com and Trafficz and others are paying 2 and 3 cent clicks on lots of domains. I've tried some of my niche names with both of them and their PPC is dismal. I had people clicking through on $600 items and getting paid 3 cents a bloody click. Makes you weep. To get anything more than 10 cents with them you have to be lucky and get the right searches and clicks happening. They and other parking companies pay domainers a pittance, at least Matt pays out at 100% of revenue and you won't get that anywhere else. And he's very professional in how he goes about it.

If everyone gets behind Bodis the traffic will grow and the good feeds will come along, and the PPC rates will go up. You just have to be patient and have faith.

Also, you can sell your names through Bodis at very low commission rates, and that is a big plus.

Yes ..... I believe Matt said there will be a "for sale" lander. I think it will be some what like SEDon't for sale pages.
The inquiry will filter through BODiS. I'm not sure about stats or comments on the "for sale" pages.

Stats to 07-21 are up

EDIT*
Matt, if you can manage to get the market place up in the
next couple of days I have a decent sale I can process
via BODis (low $$$$).

I'ld be hella proud to have the first BODiS sale :sold:

Have I missed where it was said a commission would be charged?
What % would that be?

Matt said below. Here is that post
On top of that, we only take 6% commission and a minimum sale fee of $35. The only thing we have different is that our minimum sale price is $100. I think in today's day and age, anything under $100 is not really worth it for either Bodis.com or the seller. I mean, 1 filled up gas tank in the average car is almost $100 these days...so.....off to the nap.
