We were told three weeks ago that new regitrations were going accepted by the end of that week. And then last week we were told new registrations were going to be launched by the end of the week. Once again Matt PLEASE, try and be somewhat accurate when giving out time tables. I know you have a ton of crap to work out, but try and give us some accurate launch dates.

And to whoever says that I am complaining, then so be it, but constructive criticism can only help a company like Bodis; not hurt it. I want Bodis to be just as successful as everyone else here.

Or maybe I should just add three weeks to a month onto any posted launch dates.

Sincerely,
Ryan

I've been trying to keep about 100 names with Bodis, but I've got to have more info than Visitors/RPM/Revenue. Without any meaningful stats, I can't make intelligent choices.

I'm Ok with the revenue SLOWLY creeping up for the next few weeks while I see if some names will enter the natural search listings, but I'm surprised there has been no change to the stats available, and very few complaints about it.

What is on the horizon regarding stats?

I personally have a much bigger issue with stats being 5-6 days behind, than with revenue numbers at this point. I hate to say it, but when it takes this long to post stats that bodis should be receiving daily, it is going to put a lot of doubt in the domainers mind as to "why" it is taking so many days to post our revenue........ ( i.e - stat doctoring, ect. ) I am pretty sure this is not the case, but these are the thoughts that run rampant when we are left in the dark for so long.

Is anyone making over $1/day with bodis? Just curious as I have about 500 visits a day going to bodis and can't seem to break that $1/day mark. :(

I wish I knew! It appears the stats are only updated weekly!

Wish there were a search feature with the graphics where you type the keyword and it gives results.

I have a lot of the features logged. Especially the search. Right now still finishing up on all technical issues, which include the payments. I am just as angry about the reporting as everyone else.

We have not updated our stats since our Yahoo stats have not come in for the 23rd! It's been nearly 6 days and I write an email to our Yahoo EU partner everyday, and it's starting to become a bad business relationship with them.

So what I am deciding to do, is change the way the system works so that we can give you stats by the hour or even sooner. I will hopefully have this pushed to production this night. This way, once stats come in the next day, if we figure out that we gave you $1 less on day 1, we can give you $1 more on day 2 - or whenever the appropriate stats come in, this way we don't have to rely on our partners in order to get you your reports on time. Currently we usually are 5-10% off from what our partners report, so things should be pretty accurate.

There should be no adjustments such as some other parking companies have. Although, in a case where we cannot detect and stop a a pretty bad robot within the hour, your stat figures may be inflated (visitors and revenue). At that point we will have to adjust your report figures. For instance, this week we had 1 robot that had hundreds / thousands of different ip addresses. We were unable to detect it until the entire day was over.

So all reports will come in as an estimate, but would only be adjusted under rare circumstances.

Hi Matt,

Is there anyway to change the domain template from 'Site' to 'Portal'?

Thanks.

Anyone got an answer to this?

Currently there is no way to change it back to a Portal site. I can manually change it for you if interested. Please pm me the domai name(s) you want to set to a Portal site.

I'll put it on my suggestion list.

What are there robots ? Who do they belong to and why do they do what they do ?

various reasons for robots, some gather email addresses, some fill out forms for traffic generation, some crawl websites for search engines etc..

Thanks Matt, I'll sort out my domains and pm you the list after I've done so. :kickass:

PS: I trust that this option will be implemented soon so we can do so ourselves? :o

So how would we be able to tell what domains and clicks that "extra" money came from when the stats come in if you add it to the next day? Would you just add those clicks under the same domains on the next day, or would there be a separate category for this adjustment. I think it would be rather confusing this way. Why not just make the adjustments like companies like parked.com do, and update them on the proper day under the proper domains....Wouldn't it get confusing adding this revenue to the next day when it was actually for a different day?

And also, if you don't have stats for the 23rd, can't you still update the 24th, 25th, ect? This kinda sucks being a week behind on stats.

I know you are working like crazy to get everything running smoothly, but when do you estimate new registrations will be open?

Thanks! :)

Matt,

No answer to my previous post so I thought I'd try again ... when are we going to see CLICKS, CTR, and RPC? Seems that since CTR and RPC are just calculations, you are unable to provide CLICKS to us. Why?

To me, RPM is pretty much useless, so all we have now is visitors and revenue, and that is now 8 days late.

Getting pretty frustrated here.

I am sorry if you are getting frustrated. I know many are, including myself. We got data for the 23rd today, so we can process the stats throughout the 29th in a bit. But, we are moving the new real-time stats to production in just a few minutes beforehand.

The reason why you aren't seeing CLICKS, CTR, and RPC is because all of these belong to strictly PPC. If we'd want to calculate your RPC and CTR correctly - we'd need to seperate the ZeroClick from PPC.

Also, since we are going to add in CPA in the near future and other ways of monetizing domain names, it would get out of hand giving you statistics on each segment. We'd then have to give you a column for:

Date/Domain Name
Total Visitors
Total Revenue
Total RPM

PPC Visitors
PPC Revenue
PPC Clicks
PPC CTR
PPC RPM

ZeroClick Visits
ZeroClick RPM
ZeroClick Revenue

CPA Hits
CPA Conversions
CPA Revenue

And we do have plans to add in beyond CPA in the future, so it would get out of hand dividing all these pieces of information. It would take us too long to give you all of this data right now, but one day I will have it added in and allow you to optionally choose which data to view / not to view.
