This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Thanks. Yeah, probably so but I'm cheap on the buying side so it's nearly all gravy.

Interesting I have Gal.cc. Did you have a reserve? Start at $20? Do any promotion?

I have tended to think GD 7-day is a bad way to sell anything but the most liquid names.

I bought it at Namecheap Marketplace. It's pretty hard to find something there, since there are no good filters, I just saw that name while browsing the listings under $25.

Where did you sell ? Godaddy ?

I had it listed at Flippa auctions. The highest bid was $156 and there were less than 24 hours to go, when the buyer offered me $180. After a couple of hours of negotiation, we agreed on $500

I usually don't report sales, but I will this one.

A small one, but sweet ;)

Keyword.com.co ("keyword" replaces the actual keyword)

Sold for $200. I registered this domain exactly one year ago. Never offered it to anyone as I forgot onto it. Last week I noticed it will expire in a few days so I decided to spend 5 minutes on it. I sent one outbound offer and no reply. That was at the beginning of last week. On Friday I sent another e-mail to the same person. No reply until Monday when he replied he will take it. We arranged transaction on Monday and Tuesday morning he sent $200 to my PayPal.

Why I reported this small sale? Because it was a .com.co and because I tried once again after no reply to my initial e-mail. I also want to mention that I sold it on the last day as today it would expire.

If you have good potential buyer don't be afraid to contact him/them twice.

Using Streak can help you gauge whether to contact anyone twice or once as most will view same email more than once.

Although I like the idea of tracing e-mails, I personally don't use it. Thats because I noticed e-mails sent with tracking code could be received as a message with attachment icon, so that could demotivate potential buyer to open that specific e-mail (e-mail from unknown sender with attachment icon could be considered as potential virus)

I understand your sentiments but with streak, nothing of such. You wouldn't know. Test it and come back here to tell me what you find :)

I already have my routine, but I noted your suggestion. Thanks :)
