99 cent .com code, worked for me in UK

For me, this only works on 1 new .com reg of +2 years
making it $10.98 + icann fees for a total of 2 years

Not working on transfers, nor on 1 year new regs.

Edit: Worked for 1 new reg
(Something weird was happening, tried again and it worked)

I used it only a short while ago. I changed it to one year in the cart and was able to get a new reg. for a total of £0.74.

I just renewed 7 .com domains with no renewal code and no Godaddy Discount club. The price varied a little from $9.19 to $9.99 for the domains, depending I think on when the domain expiration was. The ones in the June timeframe renewed at $9.19. Add the 15 cents or so to the cost of each domain for ICANN.

The total price was $69.14.

In USA, tried to renew a dot com that expires in 2022 for one extra year. No Domain Discount Club on that account. No coupons. Shopping cart = $12.99 + FEE

After GD adjusted their pricing and nuked many of their codes, it seems especially expensive keeping "private" domains there.

Gone. I had to join the domain discount club. $58/yr with 35% off code < cjc35newc > to get $8.47 renewals. Otherwise my renewals were well above the $10.17 mark as not one coupon works for me anymore.

But I wont last there long. I will only do this domain discount club thing one year and thats it. I will be transferring many hundreds of names out of GoDaddy to their competitors. No reason to stick around there anymore. I dont even register new names there anymore. $1.99 or not, its not worth a $12.99 renewal and thats assuming it will still be $12.99 when the year is up.

As I said before, the only loyalty that I have is to my bottom line.

The shine is long gone from GoDaddy..

Does Godaddy keeping .com registration high have to do with the influx of new extensions like .guru etc into the market? All these oversupply of extensions is pushing up demand for scarce .com?

I think I may have noticed something about the way that Godaddy lets you use promo codes. If you intend registering more than 1 .com using a code, use your codes in order of value. That is, apply a 99cent code first, then a $1.99, then a $2.49 and so on. It seems the system will let you trade up, or pay more for your next domain; but it won't let you apply a 99cent code after using a $2.99 code.
I hope that makes sense to you all.

Ralph, that's incorrect, as I just used a $0.99, $2.95 and $1.99 code in this particular order.
It might be possible that there are limits to how many codes one can use in a given day or from a particular locale.
