Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

This is most likely either the fit for the upcoming note release (large size)
Or the next iteration for the S8 With perhaps a wider field of view releasing in the spring.
I tend to think it is for the Note this fall. The larger size will not fit the current model.

Makes you wonder what the .com is worth, anything.com owns both virtualreality.com and vr.com and i read something i while ago about them being worth $50million for the pair:-

At the time i thought it was a bit far fetched, but maybe it's not, especially since VR.com could represent Villa/Vacation Rentals and that industry has huge amounts of $.

If i owned VR.com I'd be looking at a figure what HomeAway paid for VacationRentals.com ($35 million).

If the acquisition of VR.cn turns out to be a successful one, VR.com would perfect for them for expanding to global markets, so the sale of VR.cn increases the value of the .com in that way also (in addition to being a good comparable).

Also very far-fetched, but the Finland's national railways is called VR and they operate under VR.fi, so maybe in some scenario even they would have big interested for VR.com - further increasing the value of the .com.

If i owned VR.com I'd be looking at a figure what HomeAway paid for VacationRentals.com ($35 million).

Interestingly enough, VR is also the acronym for Vacation Rentals. That would make it even more valuable.

VR.cn should be the first clue.
As I mentioned before, China has set forth in promoting start-ups for VR,
Meaning, they have all the venture capital they need to get this ball rolling now.

Still a sticky thing here in the states outside a few big players we know well.
That fact is going to change the landscape a bit gong forward.

But willing venture capital is the key.
There are no shortages of folks with ideas wanting to go forward with them.
