Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Have you guys seen an increase in your traffic/offers after the release of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, or has it slowed down compared to before the release due to loss of hype?

summer should be slowish traffic.
then hopefully santa has some nice sales for us all as 2016 gifts.
2017 santa should be even more generous.. and so on and so forth.
I think you see the pattern here.
cheers

right on

VR is so mindblowing and limitless most people can't even wrap their mind around the infinite uses and potential.. small minds.. how predictable.. so they call it a small thing and limit it to games only lol

just wait a few years... it'll make the skeptics look like crap.

right, we will have 4k retina displays; higher refresh rates, lighter hmd's, wider view angles of lenses, wireless displays, auto eye tracking.

each of these areas has major technology advancements to be done and there is still a lot of work to make it perfect.

anyone who tries the vive the first time is blown away; every single thing mentioned above is overlooked when playing; Thats how good the CV1 is. But in my mind I know there is improvements to be made.

I still have a feeling Holograms will blow VR out of the water; But it's still good to be immersed in a HMD from time to time. I think I will compare holograms to TV and sometimes you will want to watch a Movie (VR).

You have to think; The dev kit for hololens is $3,499. The oculus devkit was $499 I believe on kickstarter.

yes... no doubt.. we all have predictions and feelings.
I feel opposite to you about holograms.. but.. I do respect your feelings.
I also and especially respect feelings and predictions and huge $ investments of tech giants (commpanies and people) who say VR is the next revolution in technology... for they know more about what they say than all of us here (and then some) combined into one.

in short.. I feel the future can be summed up with 2 letters... VR

buckle up dorothy.

Adobe Brings VR Video Editing Tools to Premiere Pro

The latest update to Premiere Pro, Adobe’s popular video editing software, released yesterday includes new tools for editing 360 degree video and stereoscopic VR video.

Adobe’s Premiere Pro is one of the most popular video editing applications today, and it’s now got improved workflow for editing VR video. Detailed last month, the new functionality for editing 360 degree video is now available for download as of the June 20th, 2016 update to Adobe Premiere Pro CC (version 2015.3).

While you’ll need to use other tools to stitch video together into a 360 degree view, Premiere will import video with an equirectangular projection and allow you to edit it like you would any other video file. Monoscopic video is supported as well as stereoscopic video in the side-by-side or over-under formats, and the software can handle video shot at any field of view (like 180 or 360 degrees) and still output it correctly, assuming you toggle the right settings.

In my opinion it has slowed down alot. Hopefully that will change when Daydream launches this fall.

I see lately some interest in Virtual Malls, we will see soon if the market is prepared to pay well for such domains.

Does anyone have something related to the mall keyword in VR niche?

The (virtual) reality of where shopping is headed

Virtual reality will fundamentally change consumer interactions. It’s fascinating to see how it can support retail and how it’s shaping the next step for the online shopper experience. Retail is unquestionably complex, but the shopper experience can be simplified down to two main tasks: Discovery (finding the right item) and Assurance (building confidence that I should buy this product).
