Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

@BuyWebDomains i also reg some few months ago but i was advised by some domainers here that Olympic is very aggressive with TM issue on this..you should delete them from the thread i think (specifically the second one)...

Maybe this could interest you :

The Olympic trademarks are protected by a statute over and above ordinary trademark protection

http://www.inta.org/TrademarkBasics/FactSheets/Pages/ProtectionofOlympicTrademarks.aspx

Yes they are very aggressive.
I reg'd 3dolympics back in 2008 and could not park it anywhere.
Let it drop last year I think.

Pretty interesting one about the future of a forensic holodeck

Did some of you invest in those kind of domain already ?

Virtual Reality Goes to Court
While VR may be most at home in the living room, it could also become an important forensic tool in the courtroom. Forensic scientists often create 3D maps of crime scenes for trials; however, their detailed efforts are usually flattened onto sheets of paper. Seeing a crime scene in two dimensions, or having to visualise it can make it difficult for jurors to spatially understand an environment and how bullets or cars moved through 3D space. Given that people have differing abilities to visualise in three dimensions, VR could help level the playing field by providing everyone same focused and immersive experience.

Just be sure not to brush off 4D though. I've personally never heard of it being related to holographic tech as VRDommy described.

Yeah I’ve not heard of 4D being related to holographic tech either. I see 4D is as the term being used to describe smells/movement etc whilst people in VR, you know things that improve immersivness. VR arcades will be the biggest things related to VR 4D I feel.

I was close to buying both variants (VR4D and 4DVR) recently. It was doable for me, at first one of the owners of the variants was willing to sell, but the problem was the other is owned by Huge Domains, who just put any domain $2k+ and are terrible to negotiate with – It would have cost me mid-4 figures for both, it wasn’t the price that put me off, potential profit was there if I held onto them for a few years, but i hesitated for some reason, time will tell if I made a mistake or not.

I felt i needed to have both variants though and class them as a package - If just 1 was available I wouldn’t have been interested at all.

Cinemagraphs and Clones Create a 360° VR Music Video [Premiere]

A clone army of dancer Mimi Jeong performs infinitely repeating moves in an empty warehouse in the new music video for Mind Enterprises' track, "Chapita." The musician and producer, a.k.a., Andrea Tirone, teamed up with filmmaker Eran Amir to create the 360° virtual reality experience, which evolves on the latter's VR cinemagraph technique. The video features a single Jeong multiplying until she appears as dozens of manifestations, each caught in her own elegant and colorful choreography—throwing a ball in the air, swinging a chair, painting herself, creating a segued immersive landscape of looping Jeongs.
Produced by Nexus VR Studio, "Chapita" is taken from Mind Enterprises' debut album, Idealist, released on Because Music in February 2016. Amir's first music video, the innovative piece was shot using only one 6K resolution camera and a custom built camera rig.

I have the reversed versions of my most important "4DVR" domains - 4DVRMovies, 4DVRGames, 4DVRCinema dot com to include with each sale.

Couldn't care less about the other ones to be honest

"VR4D" just doesn't sound right, because it suggest that VR is the adjective to describe the 4 Dimensions, which makes absolutely no sense. We use 4D to enhance Virtual Reality, not the other way around....so if people want to reg variations of my other domains I wish them good luck, because they're going to be difficult to sell IMO.
