Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Uh, no.

Domaining is an individual sport. FX clearly knows the game but it's not his job to educate interested parties. Quietly study and you'll learn :)

educate? I simply wanted the sale to be accessible so I and everyone else in here can use it with their own sales. As it's been said before every VR domain sale helps thee agenda of this thread yes or no? wasn't asking for an education. how many vr domain sales have there been? One more wouldn't hurt. it would actually help. yes?

I would suggest that the term "lense" is valid, just depends what country you come from? However saying that, I think you would want it in the country code, Example VrLense.Com.Au .... just saying

hmm i can see your plan but I think this 1 is not that great imo. propaganda is not a term related to business marketing it also has too many negative connotations..

It's not a keyword it's a brand. I also own VrAdAgency, VrMarketingAgency and VirtualRealityMarketing. So you can relax.

Sure. It's just that it's a very widespread name for ad/marketing agencies worldwide.

In the spanish market (from Spain which is what I know) the keywords 'propaganda' and 'buzoneo' are a type of massive, invasive and disparaging advertising. In Spain the terms marketing and publicidad are common used, both registered for two and one year respectively by members of this thread ( @NamesBond and @marioct ).

Of course everyone does with his time and money what he wants.

Good hunting.

Are you using BIN/Offer on Uniregistry? Only BIN show up as Marketplace names on Uniregistry.

6D, 7D, 8D, 9D, 10D those things are a load of crap imo. I wouldn’t go near them.

3D will soon be standard in VR, so whilst 3DVR may always be a good brandable, it could become redundant - I think with things like HD/3D/4D I think you need to have both variants like the guy who owns both VRHD and HDVR realised or they aren’t worth as much – He said he’s received a $40k offer for both, I highly doubt he would have got a $20k offer if he just had the 1.

3DVR dot com is 10 x more valuable than VR3D dot com IMO. Describes that the VR is in 3D. The reverse doesn't make much sense, but of course it's better to have both for brand protection.

And I agree 5D through 10D and even 11D is all bullshit. Consumers can't keep up with it and those extra dimensions are never going to catch on IMO. Those terms will never catch....at least in the west.

Just be sure not to brush off 4D though. I've personally never heard of it being related to holographic tech as VRDommy described.

4D is already an industry that has existed probably since the 90s now and is predicted to become a multi-billion dollar industry this year. 4D specifically in the entertainment industry has traditionally meant physical motion and physical props like what The Void uses and Samsung's 4DVR Roller Coaster.

4D Cinemas are still selling tickets in the US and UK and it's only a matter of time before they go VR in one form or anotherr.

And 4D is even now being used to describe perceived physical motion like Samsung's 4D Entrim Headphones that use GVS technology. Also see VMocion.

I have 4DVRMovies dot com, 4DVRGames dot com, 4DVRCinema dot com and 4DVRArcade dot com to name a few.

There's no guarantee that GVS headphones will become popular, but I've got GVS Headphones dot com just in case.

So yeah I'm definitely betting on 4DVR....

something to read while waiting for offers.

Why the Virtual-Reality Hype is About to Come Crashing Down

http://thestockmarkettoday.com/why-the-virtual-reality-hype-is-about-to-come-crashing-down/

I agree with the majority of this article. It's realistic. But I'd disagree with the common comparison of VR being like the first iPhone. After Apple released it's iPhone, it had ZERO competition in the smart touch screen phone industry for almost TWO YEARS before the first Android phone was released. After Android was released into the wild that's what truly jump-started the smartphone industry.

In the case of VR, the competition has been jump-started from day one and with Google's DayDream launching this fall, we can expect phone manufacturers using Daydream to explode the VR industry the way Android exploaded the smart phone industry.

So no, it's not a good comparison IMO.

It was mentioned here before by Onekey that the potential for the use of VR to showcase high ticket items like jacuzzi's or hot tubs or saunas. I wondered could there be any value with long tails that start with "Luxury" and then whatever "keyword" then VR.com?

so it would look like this?

Luxury + Keyword + VR.com

I see someone did have this idea with LuxuryCarVR.com (not mine!)

what do you guys think? too long?

LuxuryShopVR :)

:-D Why stop a 9? You never know, some obscure company in Beijing may market their tech as 888D.....the lucky dimension lol...

I think 38D would be popular... maybe that belongs in the adult VR thread?

Saw sale of FlyVR was on namebio today.

flyvr.com 2,801 USD 2016-05-22 GoDaddy

A few years ago flying.com sold for about a million.

I went to Perception Neuron meetup , not well organised but you could see a "body of sensors" in action, wires and shit everywhere. Down the road things will be streamlined no doubt
