Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Anyone have any recreational drug related VR domains? I made the mistake of deleting mdmavr.com and vrmdma.com because I just didn't think there could be a possible end-user out there for it. Soon after it was snatched up. I had not checked the monthly searches on it. Which is 450,000 a month.

I liked it at first because I missed out on registering ecstacyvr.com figured MDMA might be a good enough replacement then changed my mind.

Was it a huge mistake? That being said who has recreational drug VR domains.

I saw crackvr.com taken
drugvr
Acidvr
Lsdvr
Hashvr
Thxvr
Cbdvr
Opiumvr
Weedvr
Marijuanavr

And to recover a bit I did snag
Hempvr
Methvr
Marijuana VR

So let's hear it. What's yours?

And why do you think such a combo would work. And who would buy such domains?

  • virtualrealitysuits
  • virtualbodysuit ;)
PS - Like the company name "AxonVR" - Pretty cool...

axon sounds good.
looks like actual word

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axon

but some made up company name brnadables of all sorts will no doubt appear in VR down the road too.. like.. umm.. well.. anywya.. u get the picture I'm sure..

I guess the only problem with made up brandables like this might be TM issues. gotta check before I guess. there are tons of cool sounding made up "words" we all know which are totally Trademarked...

Just joined the ranks of folks preordering & waiting for the HTC Vive since i need to get a first person impression of what VR might be capable of in the years to come :D

ps: been a longtime HTC customer since 2006 and been buying their smartphones when almost nobody outside of Asia heard of them yet, therefore glad to see them back on the Top of Tech hopefully with the Vive

It's not a good choice imo. Leave these extensions alone except if you're going to make a play on VR.??? Always ask yourself who a potential buyer might be. Ask yourself if you know the numbers of sales, interest, trend etc of a particular gtld or cctld. Also ask, why would that person choose VRDR.Pro when VRDRPro.com is still available? Just some food for thought. Also recommend this post: https://www.namepros.com/threads/virtual-reality-domains-vr.823495/page-852#post-5502608

@Avtar629 I provide very cheap spell-checking/editing services. Just let me know buddy. ;)

lol sorry! I was posting again using mobile. those damn tiny keys on the screen. with my fat fingers? cmon!

you are both correct. it's not MarijuanaVR.com someone else has that on here I know. Namebond? Alcy? anyways. I PURPOSEFULLY regged MariHuanaVR.com.

MariHuana does get 450,000 monthly searches. not 1,800,000 for marijuana but better then the monthly searches of some keyword VR I've heard on here (including my own!) so I'm ok with that.

For your own good , stop picking names based on monthly searches that are not connected to VR..

Way I look at it...
anyone can register any domain they want.
No matter the traffic, the extension, the word(s), made up words, and more.
Like sure someone at some point will reg a domain like 360365vr dot com (pro, mom, whatever).

Simply because the domain market will decide which vr domain is worthy or not worthy.

yea well I'm tired of people crapping on my VR domains when I know thee only basis for their opinions is they head straight to Google Keyword Planner so heck I figured might as well do the same before I register. Everything factors in to marketing your domains to potential buyers. from quality to Keyword monthly searches.

You can't just register a domain and say hey this sounds great! there's too many opinions out there. and you can't rely on just your opinion. The Numbers always factor in.

Age
Monthly searches
length of domain
how many drops? if any?
How much an advertiser is willing to pay to be associated with a specific keyword? (CPC?)

surely you are not saying that people should just register great VR domains and just wait for that fat paycheck?

My newbie eyes have been opened by a couple of people on here and thanks for that. The next time someone calls my domain crap I'll just go straight to the monthly searches because from this moment on I only register VR domains with high monthly searches on it's main keyword. 9 times outta 10 that usually shuts down the negativity real quick.

So then one can say "well if my domain is crap and "not worth the reg fee" then why does it's main keyword in front get 1 million monthly searches?"

True! VR domains are in their own world with different rules but I'm sure the old school rules for non VR domains must still apply? except for maybe AGE since most VR domains are just created recently. Except for maybe VRHeadsets.com registered back in 1999!

I appreciate the comment. But I'm going to stick to this new path I've been put on by a couple of genuinely good and helpful people on here. besides. 9 times outta 10 a "great sounding domain" is almost always going to have high monthly keyword searches so why not mention it?

Anyone who mentions their VR domains on here whether they admit it or not are passively promoting their VR domain thru chit chat. let's be honest. thee best potential buyer of our VR domains is most likely going to be someone in this NP thread who eats, sleeps, and dreams VR domains 24-7 365. So why not mention your VR domains keyword monthly searches.

I can only be one thing and that's POSITIVE. anything else is just a complete waste of time. Don't get upset Eladnof. We all can't agree with everyone. everyone is entitled to their beliefs and opinions and I do appreciate your input. Thanks.

yeah, it all spins down to the old, old story of demand and supply :)

Np mate, just trying to help.
As we are talking on emerging tech, the numbers are irrelevant imo.
If the keyword is connected or will connect to VR that( the main concern for me, but as you said, you are entitled for an opinion, im just one of those guys that cant sit on the side and see people throwing away money.
I think you are one of the more creative and energetic guys here, and some of your picks are good, but when we have 1 good and 100 bad, then the 1 sale wont be enough.
Again, its just me and ill stop from now on.

Good luck!

forgot to add. in my defense. a "pro" on here did mention they registered MarijuanaVR.com. now I know that's not enough reason to register MariHuanaVR.com but with all that's going on with the Marijuana Industry? and VR? Marijuana will become as popular as BEER. if Beer dotcom sold for big bucks then I think soon Marijuana will give Beer a run for it's money as a recreation for all Americans as Beer is. If BeerVR.com is a good idea which I've seen people on here giving it a thumbs up then surely MarijuanaVR.com will be equally valuable. and if marijuanaVR.com is valuable then surely MariHuanaVR.com will have "some" value. not same as MarijuanaVR.com maybe a little above half.

I'm sorry but if I tried to sell MariHuanaVR.com? I'd simply mention all the VR domains with just 100K monthly searches or less and show them how much they sold for. Then show them MariHuanaVR.com's monthly searches and well the logical assumption should be that mine is worth 3 or 4 times the value of thee 100k monthly searches VR domains.

what potential buyer would argue with that? numbers don't lie. I'm tired of trying to sell people on a "great domain" this Google keyword planner really is awesome!
