Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
if you want info on which will be best just look at which names have sold already this year and you will get a good idea. check namebio for keywords "VR"

yep. that is it.

we can argue all we want here whats a good keyword and bad keyword.. but we can't argue with past sales and namebio

so namebio is probably a better refeence for good vs bad thna all of us here combined

cheers

is a good way to see niches too :) if there are a few sales that carry keywords from the same niche.

Sure. But you have to remember that VR isn't even available yet on a mass consumer scale. People in general might have a vague idea about VR as something they've seen in the movies or something computer game related, but the general population have NO idea about what is just around the corner with Oculus rift and similar devices. I think the people buying and selling VR domains right now are mainly domainers and tech interested people. Once VR is in every living room there will be major demand for lots of VR-related stuff. So in that respect I think the sales so far (a coupple of hundred) are not really reliable as a predictor of the future.

Having said that i went ahead and registered VRCookinglessons.com and VRdancelessons.com too, as those two (minus the VR) have sold for 16 000 and 11 500 USD earlier.

no worry
I'm the first to shout 90% of people today don't even know what vr stands for
I'm also first to shout spend your money however you like folks... and I do the same with mine.

and yes future is unknown. I agree.

which means: no rules and do what you will.

so what I will to do, is go by past sales trends on namebio to hve some idea of future.. versus going by things with zero sales record so far. that's all I'm saying. to me that's called minimizing gamble. cause in the end everything we do here is gamble. including vr+kyword.

cheers and good luck!

Am I the only one betting on the "360" prefix too? VR is fine and dandy but technically not all of the stuff that will be watched in the Oculus rift and other VR head stes is virtual reality. I mean movies aren't really "virtual Reality", at least we don't call them that. There are already 360 degree video cameras on the market. So I'm thinking 360 is a good bet. So far I've got:

360tvshows.com
360documentaries.com

and some others.

Sports Betting...

360 degree camera above the goal and on sides from the playingfield. I have registered .com's SportsBettingVR, BettingVr, VRLiveBetting and other combinations because i think this can be very big...

Big money (gambling sector) and big market is equal to end users with big budgets...

Yup sports betting will always be big. Couple of my buddies who are part of the gaming commission technology division has told me that they're seeing applications for online VR games. I decided to reg:

I'd say vrLessons is better. It can be the primary for any sub category lessons from music to sports, etc...

I agree for a company, which produces that. For routing and advertising the specific ones could be good too. :)

I would have registered vrlessons if I had thought of it first :) But I think niches also hold value.

Who is "you" man? I am new to domaining and had hard times while trying to fit myself to this comunity. Please dont take my words offensive. Maybe i pushed a little, if i did i am sorry about it. Really i just want to give advice to people or take their advices. I also learnt something from you (night.club-domainhack). ;)

Looking at the VRexpo schedule, seems UnifiedVR was a good pick for a domain name :)

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about... the SVVR Expo or E3... Both should be excellent events..

Anyone going?

I would if I lived closer.

SVVR is 100% VR. However, E3 is expected to have more of the big "announcements." Especially for Oculus.

The info given on this thread is Great!! I just bought a portfolio of 50+ VR related .coms

Some of the best of them being (I think):
VirtualRealityCruises.com, VirtualRealityDegrees.com, ShopVirtualReality.com,
VirtualRealityTrading.com and VirtualRealityHomeTour.com

There are other 'good ones' in the list as well, but the ones above stood out to me the most, and I definitely think that the Virtual reality market is ready to blow up. :)

The expo is about 20 minutes away from me. I may need to stop by.

That's awesome! Let us know how it pans out. Curious to hear where the inquiry came from? I'm still waiting to hear back for one of my VR domains from Sedo
