Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The economy has definitely taken a toll on domains. 4 letter domains that sold for $50+ are barely selling this year. It's just a lull in the marketplace. That's all. They're still worth investing in.

I would have said going from $50 to "barely selling" is a bit more than a lull.

Thanks Reece how are you doing Buddy hope all is well in your domaining life and home life. I've not been on NP that much.

I am moving back to Vancouver this summer, been busy sorting things out.

I do have a development plan for the domain just need to put sometime aside to get it done.

Ebay is very unpredictable sometimes. A few of my domains have gone for peanuts there, others have done ok. From my experience the timing and title description plays a major role there.

Ebay is tricky, especially when it comes to Q domains. You could stick QUIT.COM up there and be lucky to get $50. :'(

Also, sometimes Ebay gets heated up or cooled down for no particular reason that I can discern.

While there are lots of amateurs on Ebay, there are also seasoned buyers. I would guess the seasoned buyers somehow missed QEHY.

Oh I don't know, with a little luck (and believe me, with the dozens of factors within eBay sales there is tons of luck) Q names can sometimes do ok at eBay. I sold yenq there for $171, quyt for $145 and qtme for $116 recently. I sold many recently above the $50 mark like utqh for $61, deqz for $54, lolq for $61, curq for $68, etc. But yeah for the most part eBay buyers do shun the Q domains within the majority of LLLL sales.

Get a load of the eBay sales list I am about to post for today... it's a doozie, and almost all of the names are from one seller..

I am not worthy, oh Ebay JediD-:
I want to plant LUNQ on Ebay, but the Q thing scares me.
A cvcv, QIDY.com, went for $67 this morning. I was the idiot who tried to snipe it for $66, without enough time to rebid.

Yeah, I was watching the thisdot auctions too.

What actually surprised me more than the higher prices llll.coms got were the crazy prices that llll.nets got.

Granted they were good... Nem0 - if you have those too it will be great.

Some of those prices are nuts. And most of those domains expire right away so tag at least $8 on (per) for the buyers! Anyone care to add these sales up to see what the seller made total (Edit: scratch that, since about 10 of those names above were not from this seller). The seller also sold lots of .biz names for good coin as well as dozens of LLLL.nets (of which many did reallyy well). Has everyone still been letting their crappy CVCV.nets drop? Here's the .nets he sold today: LLLL.net Link

Now that I tallied them I see there were lots of low sales too, but mostly for regular quads.

It might be more than a lull! Look at how low some of those eBay prices were.

I am having trouble selling URHZ.com (Ur Hitz) for $9.99!

I can totally understand what Nemo said about all of the factors that affect an eBay sale. There's how you list it, what you say in the title, time of day, price, how you describe it, the image you choose to describe it, etc...

With regards to the LLLL.net's, does anyone feel like they will follow the LLLL.com market? Do they mirror the LLLL.com market, just for a lot less money?

Those lower eBay sales are nothing new, they've been that way for months. These sales above are actually quite healthy, even some of the lower ones.

As far as llll.net following llll.com, that's probably something you need to just figure out yourself as the clock ticks, by following both markets. The recession pretty much put an end to the llll.net quad buyout (I wasn't there years ago, but I'm sure LLLL.com quads had a buyout at one time or another, so that is probably being mirrored).

It does seem like LLLL.nets are mirroring LLLL.coms -- probably right now at where LLLL.coms were in 2005. LLLL.nets with a starting letter "A" were the most registered last time I checked a few months ago -- not sure if that's changed but that's exactly how it went down with LLLL.coms ("A" in the first position was the first letter to sell out). If anyone remembers back in 2006 / early 2007, it wasn't uncommon to see an LLLL.com go for $1 or $2 at the time, which seems to be at where LLLL.net is today. Personally, I think the quad premium LLLL.nets have potential - at least as much as the weakest LLLL.coms.

eBay sales are looking pretty healthy -- you picked up a couple bargains there Daniel :)

Thanks again for all the sales reporting.

Thanks Reece, they were ok. I actually picked up many more bargains (for much better prices) the last time this seller sold a large part of his portfolio. Today was brutal for bidding, in comparison. What really gets me is, this time the names all expire right away yet most did very well.

Oops I forgot sales the day before..

All LLLL.com sales (eBay) the 26th:

QJRE $8.50
RDKU $14.75
XCVT $10.00
GKDU $21.00
UOMK $21.00
NWUB $21.00
ODXW $9.72
VRVX $7.00
KXJV $8.40
GVXP $7.28
VLRV $40.81
YLKB $21.50
VRZL $18.35
VSKQ $6.50
