.mobi Opinions...

I've previously spoken about the Extreme Optimist, Moderate Optimist and Pessimist.

I have identified another opinion. It appears less sincere.

The best analogy that I can make is this... Have you ever heard about someone who purchases 1 share of stock so that he/she can leverage an objective - for instance an annual shareholder's meeting.

Buying a share of stock enables a voice. It's just a hard pill to swallow the sincerety of the concern.

Thread after thread shows a pattern at Namepros. Interesting topics followed by extreme, extreme caution.

I think that it permeates so deeply, so persistently that it should at least be a topic of conversation.

Don't tell anyone but I actually work for .tel registry and am paid to pump up .mobi to false levels so that it crashes hard. That way people will hopefully turn to .tel and buy up millions of our worthless names thinking it will be the next big thing. If it works out my bonus will be incredible and I can buy a pile of awesome .mobis at deflated prices.

I dont mind "naysayer" opinions as long as they dont imply the rest of the people are suckers or idiots or whatever...also the naysayers never have facts to back up the rantings...which really drives me crazy...

I got more of a 'hollow' take on it myself. The vibrance in posts seems different. And I agree that some insightful threads seem to go more off track (piq), or when in anti mobi mode, more of a gang up. That may be attributed to the decline in anti mobi posters though.

Wow, you are lucky. What circumstances really brought them down we may never know until 50 year from now, but one thing is certain it was a horrible day.

I agree with the vibe of this thread wholeheartedly..

We are witnessing history, mobile internet revolution birth, that will likely last our lifetimes..

Now, in the back of our minds, I think some of us are astonished with what happened here as domainers; and, fascinated with the whole DotMobi concept..

Who doesn't like to be first on a hot thing!

It seems like we have been blessed with an insight already into something that is hitting the world virally one by one..

..which most of the domainers, 95% of them on the forums, bigtime guys all passed on the landrush and meaning of this movement.. altogether seemingly..

which is why I wonder about why,., conspiracies, whose reading.. double spies etc haha! Plus, I know what is going on when I walk the streets, and online, so I know that this is BIG - Big Brother is watching!

This Dot Mobi stuff is Big Business friends, security is paramount..

I, also, appreciate the voices and synergy here.. we are loyal knights of the Dot Mobi round table here, powerful awakened..

..and as people I knew in the mid 90's internet times split up, so one day Gilligan's Island here will face the world's recognition.. and who among us will stay together.. we can always convene here I imagine.. or at my movement site anytime in the future..

Yes, that was real. I was with Lehman Brothers' IT group at that time, which was located at 40th floor of WTC north tower. It took me 30~40 minutes walking down to the ground. But we did not expect the towers would fall while we were walking down, otherwise every person would be panic.

I simply don't believe you. Your deep interest and concern doesn't strike me as genuine. Your posts are consistent - literally hourly - and often strike a negative impact into both positive and relatively benign threads. And, yet you have very little at stake in .mobi.

Can you explain your deep interest and involvement in practically every thread of any impact?

I don't think I'm asking more of you then you ask of others. Daily.

This is simply the same request for accountability that Jeff demands.

Righto ... it's this free (and also at no cost) exchange of ideas and opinions that makes this such a wonderful place to learn, share, and - transcending an entity as domain name board - genuinely care for and about other members and their thoughts, IMHO. :music:

Most here who visit and frequent the .MOBI Forum™ have a vested interest ... whether it be one or a few .MOBI domains, or literally dozens, time and effort alone, and/or even uniquely developed and compelling websites! Each can freely interact with the other - in peace and without fear or retribution - and, above all, learn from other's thoughts, experiences, and even concerns. It's a healthy balance, and I appreciate the Extreme Optimists, Moderate Optimists and Pessimists, and even the newly annointed, and perhaps best looking of all, Extremely Cautious! :tu:
