I decided to give this a try and purchased a domain "idahovapor.com". I have contacted about 30 end users and got about 6 "no thanks" replies. I was a little bit happy that I at least got some replies after just 2 weeks of researching on domaining. However,I'm afraid I might have exhausted my list of end users.

I didn't feel like it's an easy $450 USD

as all my latest accepted counter offers
ended in silence and no sale at all

I will never ever accept the first end user (counter) offer

tweeking my sales pitch

Learning humility is one of the largest obstacles a domainer must hurdle. I swallowed that pill several times, and still learning new things every day!

This is not how to do outbound. How is this email personalised? What you have said that would make the buyer want to buy the name? 'Please tell me WHAT?', sounds aggressive.

I don't do much outbound. Usually only very targeted emails and calls, if I do reach out. I find that it is easier to make my sales goals through auctions, etc.

I have sold a few via outbound, but it's hard chasing people down.

Quick story....

I hand regged the domain DrMLKJr.com. Stands for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I decided to donate the domain to the Dr Martin Luther King Foundation. I sent an email to them offering the domain a few weeks ago. I almost immediately get an email back very graciously accepting the gift and asking what the process of transferring the domain would be. I responded saying that they needed to have an account at GoDaddy or create one. Never heard back again. I'm not going to chase them to give them a gift.

Even trying to give away a domain completely free via outbound can be tricky.

I've had the same experience trying to give domains to family, friends and celebrities

to me, that writing style looks 150 times better then the normal long lines I use to receive from spammers
twitter started the short messages people don't get long and complex sentences having 1 thought per line
to me is easier to understand personally I 'm used to read books even started with Ulysses but twitter users can't focus long enough I think that's a worldwide trend so to me, it makes perfect sense to have 1 thought per line.

is that you have no experience in outbound
