(No match for "IAMADOMAINSQUATTER.COM".

"Thanks for the email, we don't really need another domain, but I see the evaluation is ~$850, so can give you $450.00 for it, would that work?"

any suggestions how to react?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
From your other responses, it does not appear you're interested in this. Your passive aggressive responses indicate that you believe your method is right and what everyone else is saying is invalid

I sell domains for 20 years - inbound
I am a novice in outbound

51 leads = no sales = uniregistry

so no good idea?
or professional approach?
TBH I don't like it. It is condescending. I would feel offended. Especially if this is the initial E-mail, I didn't ask for anything and you send me this.

Very Pushy email. I would never talk to a potential buyer like that. With outbound, remember you knocked on their door not the other way around.

I see you mention you have inbound experience. Isn't it a very bad time for you to start outbound with GDPR being rolled out now and seeing you are located in Germany? Or does GDPR doesn't affect outbound marketing at all?

Use your own domain...
Set SPF and DKIM records...
Avoid URLs, just plain text...
And it will be not marked as spam 99%.
So, how do we drive the lead to the sale page without a link ?
Any particular technique to format a url so it does not convert to hyperlink ?

Also a plain text email has no way to track the open or the click.
Statistics are useful as it steers your next strategy.

You should get a reply... primary goal.
Any links can be sent later during negotiations.

so you don't know you open rate
as you can't track ?

The open rate doesn't matter for me.
Only replies and sales.

And overall, I don't waste my time on the email outbound... I invest it in other tasks.
All serious sales can be negotiated only via phone and with proper people in the targeted companies.

so how many replies do you typically get from 100 outbound send?

I like it. It is a smart approach.
Tracking is redundant. Replies and non-replies are the report in itself.
It also narrows down your follow-up efforts after the initial outbound session.
Thank you @Jurgen Wolf

0 or 1.
And again: I don't waste my time on the email outbound, just sometimes when I have mood I may send my invites to a few very targeted buyers.

Pretty bad results.

You need to send less eMails to more targeted people. You should almost always get a 'how much' response. If you are not you really need to fix who you are sending the emails to and what you are saying.

If I send 10 emails at least 6 are going to ask how much, 3 will say no, and 1 might not respond.

Did you get these addresses from WhoIs information?
Can you explain? I use Hunter.io to get my addresses, how do you get such a massive response ratio??? I’ll send 100 emails, with a decent not annoying sales pitch and get 1 “not interested if i’m lucky

I'm not going to help you.
Another member quoted me and I have replied, that's all.

Regarding tactics...
The best way: PHONE + Marketing Director or CEO as target.
Also already said above.

in my experience the worst thing that can happen is wrong (missleading) information

like :
no need to track
or
it doesnt work
or
your results are mediocre

that is not helping

No, the worst thing is when one domainer is spamming another domainer, absolutely stupid and non-targeted outbound.

in my experience, it's extremely difficult to reach the right person via phone
as I have trouble with the gatekeepers
who actually dare to tell me that they don't need that domain
( even if its the CEO sir name )

Frank, as others have said l, do a simple, well typed, sales pitch.

I would send something like this for mass emails:

Hello! We are currently selling the name “xxxxx” for a price of “xxxx”, we’ve decided to contact you before publicly listing it as we feel your company would use it best.

Please, contact me at xxxxxx or xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks so much - Name here

I had $3.5K sale via phone...

And 0.00 results with other LLL.me via email outbound.

Just short example to compare.

thanks, Jurgen

I have sold a 4k euro domain on phone too
but that's not the same thing

my question is how to do outbound most effectively
as that can be scaled

Who in the company exactly is the best person to contact for this? CEO? How do you get to them?
I fee i’d do much better on the phone so I can actually stand out apart from the scammers/spammers/annoying people

Marketing Director and CEO - the best persons.
Ask the lower staff to switch your call on them...
Or leave your number/email to reach you if they are interested to discuss a marketing/branding opportunity for their company.
