Many of my hand regs are getting $500 - $5,000 valuations

I bet if I posted them here, the top valuation would probably be $50.
I think I'll start to post links to valuation sites on my sales pages. I wonder how much store end users place on these "valuations".

That site also gives a domain I have a value of $164 which I have had $15k+ offers on, dont read anything into it

Well they are worth something if they help us to make a sale. However, GilesColey points out the danger of using a sword with two edges.

End-users wont fall for automated site appraisals, especially the person making the decision. Showing past similar sales is a better option to get a sale.

I use it to get a 'feel' for a name...the visitors, CPC and if any other extensions are take...for me, it is always my first step even though I know the estimates may be way off.

At the end of of the day the only valuation that matters, is what the real buyers are willing to pay. Might be considerable higher or lower than what valuation tools and Namepros members give.

LOL...we know its worth a little more than that!

esti is the only one I give any value to but I check them all when I am bored.

Just had someone send an offer for a name at 500 that esti gives a value of 1600...they even said they had checked est and knew it was worth more. I responded back they have already done my sales pitch for me! Told them they could have it at 900...I wonder which auto appraisal they will send next.
