While everyone has their way to make money in domaining, there is a lot of money to be made in hand registrations and the reason that I am stressing on it is because newbies can get a head start by investing in hand registrations.
I have recently made 5 sales out of a total of 18 hand registrations that I did. All this within 12 days and the returns are pretty good.

This has only reaffirmed my belief into hand registrations and I believe that the potential is immense.
If you have similar experience investing in hand registrations and getting good returns out of it, would you care to share it?

This will be educational in the form of opportunities that are there in hand registrations.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm still finding a few names for some of my projects. I guess if I think they are useful, then they are saleable. I'm tempted to try a few flips to test the water. :)

I never usually hand reg. But a few days ago I read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/5aw0t2/lafayette_la_quietly_introduces_its_tax_on_solar/

So I registered SolarPanelTax.com.

Nice reg James. We can link to Reddit?

BuyDomains hand registers domains all the time.

lots of money in hand regs... for the registrars !
Or those that were registered many years ago lol

Always how it is @Kate. ICANN, registries, registrars always benefit. :-,

1-word (must be very popular) or 3-4-letters/numbers only

How do you know numbers of the available end users?.Want to compare and learn more about the factors to consider end users. Thanks.
I never have one particular end user in mind when purchasing a name; however I only invest in domains for which there are at least 15-20 potential buyers.

Yeah that's the fact, I still wonder how could they sell them?
How many years or months does it takes to sell one of those?
What is their best marketing system to attract end-user to buy their names
Any enlightenment?

Most handreg names always return low or estibot values. it does not really matter if your end user is just that, but with the internet you never can tell.

Also handreg domains giving enduser options is a problem. I wanted to handreg a domain ending with 'sofa' but I found out that other options ending with chair, couch etc are all available. It really takes the shine off the domain and gives the end users a good number of $10 options

I always prefer names that is way better than any option endusers may have. That takes a lot of research.

How much would someone pay for these domains? Estibot values are not very high for some I checked.

I hand registered DalmatianPuppiesForSale.com because It has a huge Search & Traffic especially from Tier 1 Countries and It's Estibot value is $1200. What do you think about it? How much can I sell it , where and for how long?
