The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

That's indeed how Monster's PRO badge was removed. The PRO members made the decision, and the moderators executed based on that result. My only recommendation is that this procedure be clearly documented in one or two prominent locations, rather than remaining fragmented across several forum threads from over the years.

Essentially. Every PRO member has another PRO member who has vouched for them to join The PRO Network. They're vouching that they meet the criteria.

oh ok
I thought u did this

in this case.. maybe u should do it.??? since clearly in some cases it isnt working.

why exactly do u give this task to others?

i dont really get it

u control all other badges.

it makes pro badge kinda useless if u dont
dont give and also ideally periodically review it.

notonly useless but also misleading. I'm sure I'm not only person who 1. thought u give badge... and 2. it actually gives great value and rep to member.

now.i see it gives nothing cause in time first apple can rot. snd then every apple after it catches the rot.

like infection.

I vote to abolish allpro badges unless u handle and review yourself.

Pro members decide who has or does not have a PRO badge.

The only involvement by NamePros is carrying out what the PRO members want.
Woops I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out. Been a while since we dealt with one of these. Monster was the last one I think and I don't recall any prior to that.

most pro members or many will not even know about this case
You could always reach out to your favorite Pro members and let them know, to see what they think ;)

A group of members came to us with the idea, and we approved it.

Well, I publicly showed my vote regarding this matter, which should show that there is a high probability other Pro members may feel the same as I do when it comes to the Pro badge potentially being tarnished due to some questionable business practices.

Does that mean I'm no longer your favorite and we may both need to edit our Christmas lists this year?

Owners can do whatever they want. The response is like we don’t have any control over this. You do

More so that we trust the process they've created and believe it is sufficient without us imposing our own will on them.

Not sure, but looks like a second vote in the thread I started in the Pro section, as I requested Pro members to vote below in that thread and another pro member clicked "Thanks" (Not disclosing their username in case they wanted it to remain private in the pro section). Does that count as a 2nd vote? or does it have to be spelled out?

Update: It was not a vote at this time, just a confirmation of the oddness of the situation regarding a member with successful transaction history deciding to conduct questionable business practices.
:)

This auction aside, having a situation where an auction can go on for an almost unlimited period of time is kind of ridiculous.

There has to be some reasonable middle ground. To me, anything longer than (7) days is completely unreasonable.

And really, (3) days or less is ideal. IMO.

Yes. This is especially disruptive for serious bidders. When the term is too long, their committed funds are frozen in the auction and unavailable for other auctions.

I mean even with 3 days you may find /unlimted/ bets ...raised by a dollar ..until death do us apart..

FS I didn't forecast your point ..

Rules are important, but in practice, most auctions wouldn’t see a seller set things up that way.

This was a first for a reason.
