Would you like to see Auction time CAP of 72 hours after last bid?

I am requesting that the Moderators consider to change Auction rules depending on outcome of the poll , when it closes on October 4,2016. It will be interesting to see the Poll data.

I am requesting that the time after last bid should be a maximum of 72 hours after last bid Placed, if no bids are placed with in 72 hours then the person with highest bid should win auction.

None of the 90 hours or 102 hour or 120 hours or 150+hours after last bid type of stuff

If you agree please Like, or share your thoughts. Mods? Comments? Thoughts?

yeah.. why not cap it indeed
30 days does sound ridiculous after all

I vote for 5 days max.

My thoughts are that if its 120 hours after last bid then the auction can go on for weeks.
Say you place bid and in 1 hour you will win domain. But then say someone else places a bid, now you you have to wait 120 more hours, and then can go on and on....Then maybe you loose interest in domain or see another name you like better.

Bottom line is I think 120 hours after last bid is ridiculous

For me 120 hours (5 days) looks perfect.

You can negotiate a BIN via pm if you don't want to wait.

It is obviously none of your business how long other members decide to make their auctions run. You have the freedom to choose if you want to participant or not in each auction. Stop trying to take away other members rights to make their own choices about how they run their business.

Lol.

If you are going to have a poll, your answer options need to be impartial, for obvious reasons.

Although, i do appreciate the sarcasm in answer option no. 2!

He just shared his thoughts. Nothing wrong in sharing opposite views but such harsh comments on him may not be necessary.

haha , maybe namepros make their own official poll about this topic and feature it. All I am saying is that a 72 hour auction after last bid placed, is more than enough time to complete a auction. A 72 hour auction after last bid is placed usually ends up being a 5-7 day auction if you have a decent name. A 94hr or 120 hr or 150 hr after last bid placed discourages me not to even want to bid .

Whilst I don't moderate the marketplace It's fairly safe for me to say that Namepros generally wants to give members the freedom to schedule their auction as they see fit and for that reason I doubt we'll be seeing a 72 hour cap as that's actually considered as the default time where one is not mentioned.

That said, I do agree that a 30 day auction does seem a bit of an unnecessary drag. In my personal opinion I think a 14 day cap would be perfectly reasonable as I don't see a need for auctions to run longer than that on a forum venue.

120 hours is good.

Weekend followed by Holiday may seriously Affect outcome of an 72 Hours Auction.
Its very correct to have freedom to set as many hours as you want.
