We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

Where are the "folders"? What happened?
Sorry about that! Our team is currently working on a new function for the folders so they were temporarily unavailable this weekend. The Folders button should show back up under 'My Domains' again though!

Anyone else suddenly receiving an unusual torrent of spam emails via private WHOIS contact?

Since Sunday, I’ve received about 50 of these forwarded emails. In the last 12 hours alone, I received over 20. And it looks like this bombardment won’t be stopping anytime soon.

It’s mostly happening to my recently registered domains, but not just those… mostly my .coms, but not just those. One common thread I’ve seen, so far, is that this is only happening to my Dynadot-registered domains.

@calebdynadot : I currently have over 1.3k domains at Dynadot, and I don’t want to have to endure thousands of spam emails. Can’t Dynadot block this ring of spammers? They’re not people with legitimate interests in any domain. They’re sending the same BS message about logo design services, and they’re doing it from multiple addresses—addresses you can see and perhaps then restrict (?).

This is annoying. Please help.

Hello! Could you please DM me your Username? I'm not sure how much power we have in regards to blocking these messages as we are required by ICANN to forward all messages sent to you, but I'll certainly see if there's anything we can do to help you out!

Great question! So .COM Domains USUALLY start at $7.99 on our Auctions, however since we partner with other Registrars to list domains through our Auctions, the starting price can vary based on what the other Registrar would like it to start at.

Long story short, If you see a $7.99 .COM on the Auction its most likely coming from us, however if you one starting higher it's coming from somewhere else.

I know we had an issue with our site being blocked in India the last month, but I had thought that had been taken care of. Let me check with our team if we're still being blocked!

If dyna-regged domain is sold via afternic fast transfer - then the dynadot system _should_ inform the seller about the same [or simply send an email about successful transferaway]. Does not seem to be the case at this time. Not a big issue, but still...

I haven’t followed this thread until now. So apologies if this has been asked before. I have checked the last few pages and there is no mention of it…
When I login I need to enter the Captcha verification code in order to receive the SMS token. However I find very frequently that when I enter the captcha the first time I receive a message that it's incorrect (even when I have checked that I have entered it correctly. It always seems to work when I refresh and enter the second code that is generated.
Is there any chance this captcha can be turned off? It gets quite frustrating...

We do send out a Transfer Away email that states the domain was sold in Afternic! Do you have a domain that was sold where this didn't happen? Please DM me the domain name so I can investigate!

The expiry is 27th May 2023. In the beginning of May, I did tried to transfer the domain SAV but failed due to an unknown reason, so i plan to renew it at Dynadot instead then this happened. For the record, the domain now is moved to someone in SAV without my consent.

I have contacted Dynadot support but support would need more time to feedback and has created a ticket.
The reason im posting here is to know if someone else also has the same experience and would be keen to know possible outcome.

The central registry has removed the domain kasino.gg from your Dynadot account.

Unfortunately, the central registry doesn't refund registry fees in this situation.

I'll have our team reach out to the .GG Registry to see if they can give us an answer as to why they removed it (we currently don't have any more information other than it was removed from Dynadot), and have our team update your ticket accordingly!

Hi Everyone,

We’re continuing our monthly product feature to showcase some of the products and tools we offer! We’re hoping that this will help familiarize new users with our platform, and brush up knowledge with our established users as well!

This month’s product feature is our Backorders!

Backorders are a great way for you to grab domains that are deleted from the Registry, or “Dropped”. The domains can come from any Registrar, so it doesn’t need to be a Dynadot domain in order for it to be backordered. You can also put a domain on your Dynadot Watchlist, which will notify you when the domain is available for Backorder: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/add-domains-watch-list



Here’s how placing a backorder works:

1: A domain expires or is deleted from the current Registrar

2: Once the Restoration period of it’s lifecycle is over, it goes into what’s called a “Pending Delete Period” for 5 days.

3: In that time, you can place a backorder for a domain here: https://www.dynadot.com/market/backorder/. You will then need to agree to use your autopay for the domain is the DropCatch is successful.

4: Once the 5 days is up and the domain “Drops”, our system will automatically try to grab it for you! When the domain enters the “Dropping Hour”, it can take sometime to determine if we were successful in catching the domain or not.


5: If we have successfully caught the domain for you, your autopay method will be charged and the domain will be yours. However we cannot guarantee we can always catch the domain, as other Registrars may be trying to catch it as well.



If multiple Dynadot users backordered the domain and Dynadot was able to catch the domain, it will then go into our Backorder auctions! This auction will be open to the public and will last 7-10 days. https://www.dynadot.com/market/backorder-auction/

Not all TLDs we support are available to be backordered. You can see which TLDs can be backordered with this list here: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/supported-backorder-tlds.
We’ve Recently added .XYZ, .UK, .SITE, .ONLINE to our backorder system as well!

You do not need to pay to request a Backorder, and only are required to pay when a backorder catch is successful for you!

I'm sorry this keeps happening to you! We're currently working on our fixing our expired auctions this year!
3 more won auctions canceled! This is happening to me practically every day. Any idea when this year you plan on fixing this? It truly is a big waste of time to spend hours scouring through your expired domains auction list, decide which ones to buy, monitor and bid on the auctions the next day just to have them canceled. :banghead:

We're currently working on it right now, so most likely changes should be coming in Q3 of this year, however I don't have a definite date for you just yet.

Hi All and @calebdynadot ,

I would like to update on this. The issue is from my failed transfer to SAV and SAV support manage to bring the domain to my account. I would like to thanks Dynadot support for highlighting this issue for me. The matter is now resolved.

From memory .com transfers are on sale until 31 May for about $9.00. check with them on their support chat on their website.

On our Bulk Search, you can select the "List View" option once you search and it will show only which ones are available like the photo attached. However there isn't currently a way to toggle that just on the main search page, but I'll bring that to our team to see if we can add. Thanks for the suggestion!
