I just experienced my first perk of the new bodis system. I just had a $50 affiliate commission on a loan banner I put on one of my pages. So even though the revenue isn't the greatest right now, and click prices are lagging a little bit, the customization and ability to add affiliate links seems to be offsetting it. Sure couldn't have gotten a $50 click anywhere else.

I just added 48 domains to my account; they're all basically the same niche except each one has a different statename in front of it. Some got set to site and some got set to portal. What determines whether a name is set to site or portal - since I would think these would all normally be the same.

Matt , is it possible that once I have signed into Bodis it can remain longer (like 1 or 2 hours or even more) rather than the 30 mins. at the moment. It's irritating that I need to sign in every 30 minutes.

As far as I can tell from what's in my account, they look just like the site templates, but they have no standard text under the picture, and you have to add all the links (there's only one pre-populated one) And they all have a picture of some guy holding a globe or earth or some such. So I'm wondering if that's indeed a portal template, or it's just somehow reporting wrong.

Other than that, looks just like the rest of them. Not wishing to post the link on the forum, I'll spell it out - you can see one I haven't had time to customize yet at californiaprescriptiondrugs-dot-com.

netmeg - the keywords determine what layout you have. If we cannot find a relevant photo to your keyword, we will set it on a portal.

You can switch it to Custom by going to the domain management and saving the template, although you have to add links. I realize that this is a very cumbersome way of adjusting the layouts - but it's the only way we have it implemented right now. The idea is here to give you the ability to quickly switch back from Portal to Site and Site to Portal and easily manage keywords by using a "Master Keyword" - but that will still take time to implement.

In the meantime, we are moving forward a bit more tomorrow with the ZeroClick so I am a little busy today since I am working on that. Today I will only be able to add in the "Remember Me?" feature. I'm actually switching projects and working on that now so that people stop being logged out when working on their domain names. Should be available shortly.

The auto-login feature is now live.

You have two choices, either log in normally via the header or from the log in page and your session will last 45 minutes from the your last refresh. This is what it was normally (except that it was 30 minutes, so I raised it 15 minutes).

Your second option is to log in via the login page, where the auto-login is already selected for you. That will keep you logged in for 45 days after your last refresh. Should be more than enough!

Did we ever figure out how the new revenue updates are working? Are they going to be factored into the correct date and then just updated later, or are they going to be updated somewhere else? Because I have noticed that my daily revenue "estimates" have remained the same since they started being computed on the fly, seeming like there is no visible adjustment. Just curious how the new system is working.

Ok, so I added and updated my 48 domains last night. Once I got used to the interface, it went a lot faster than I expected (although I did not really do any customization apart from modifying the title text, adding my own links and picture - no added content at this point)

Since we have the option to set our own keywords/links on the side, I decided to try something new (for me, anyway) I went to the newly updated Google Keyword Tool and typed my main theme in. The I did some sorting (you can click on the various headers to sort it) to find the most popular keywords, and after choosing to display all columns, I could also see a very rough estimate of what the CPCs were for AdWords. With those two pieces of information, I carefully chose the keywords for my links on the side out the keyword tool. We'll see if it helps. I realize this isn't a Google feed, but it should be a fairly reasonable indication of search and advertising trends.

It was discussed at the previous Domain Roundtable with Domainers and a Rep of Google about a websites staticity which triggers crawlers to drop a website.

If we could add our own link, can we add an RSS news feed link to our websites which most I believe updates daily, do you think this would help and improve our domains search rankings?

Adding an RSS feed is easy.

Just go to http://rss.bloople.net and plug in the feed you want. It pops out your html that you can add to your bodis page.

Here's an example on my site (un-finished site)

Problem is that google doesn't recognize it as 'content' so it won't help your google ranking. If anyone knows a way to do this, I'd love to hear it.
