Anybody selling any domains on Ebay?

I've had some on there for months, marijuana related, drone related, brandable, etc. Now I am adding some of my prime .rocks domains. I have had watchers but no sales.

Anybody else had any luck on Ebay?

Yes.

On ebay liquid domains like 4l,5l sales well. Also 2 word domains are very popular there.

Thanks.

I've sold quite a few there. As said before, liquid domains are the most popular. There are lots of bargain hunters, but it is an additional market to promote your domains.

Do you guys find significantly better sales when you add logos?

Any other tips to a successful eBay domain auction?

Some tips:

1. Nice logos help, especially for some categories like brandables, 4l, 2 words.
2. Manage reasonable prices
3. A good reputation is very important.
4. Try to have a continuous presence. Your position in the listings will improve if you have more sales.
5. If you manage a good number of domains, consider a store (like the one I have in my signature)
6. If you detect a good buyer, offer him a bulk deal or a special price for some of your domains (you can send a special offer directly to any ebay user if they contact u first).

I have made significant sales on ebay in 2015 and awarded as Top Rated Seller like many other good domainers over there. .Ebay is a good platform to sell small value domains( under $1000) .
Presentation is everything.

Always choose your listing photo size 1500x1500
Choose short and clear wording to explain about the domain name.
Choose clean and simple theme's.only if you want to.However i'm not using any theme.
Keep Bold and larger in size text than your other paragraphs on listing.to show prominent expiry date of the domain name and all the other usuful information regarding domain name( Transfer, Push etc )

Edit
To view some sample you can visit my ebay store. click on the link in my signature.

i think for Acronym domains like 4L. logo isn't necessary but if you are selling a Brandable domain. you can sell logo as a package.
on the ebay no one use listing logo. except few

If you see any one on ebay with good sale. you will probably found him here. We are all playing hide and seek.

I get my brandables on ebay occasionally.

My seller there is definitely a domain trader by the way he operates, quickly moving domain with profit margin of around 100 to 150% of his reg fee.

I've been doing some data mining on ebay past two weeks to see what actually sells. I'm planning on giving it a try on ebay again (sold some back in 08,09) in the next month or so with a matching website for branding. I agree with mibworld that reasonable prices are important. Volume is key I think. Gotta keep things moving and offering semi-decent domains. After doing the research of what sells I'm surpised at just how many domains sell for $25-$50 range that I wouldn't think twice about registering for $10. Here's some examples:
WatchFreeTelevision $50
ReviewCarInsurance $50
SpywareAdwareRemover $50
BlogMakingMoney $40
GetUnsecuredLoan $40
BookmarkWebpage $36
BuildRoof $35
DesignWebsiteFree $35
AskForLawyer $34
BuySharesOfStock $32
InvestPreciousMetals $31
HomesWarranty $30
FastCashLoaners $30
HouseInsuranceCheap $28

One thing to consider, a $50 Ebay sale has listing fees, closing fees, and then paypal fees for getting paid. That means you might get $35 after fees. Then, you have to account for your reg fee, say what, $9, so your profit is likely $20-$25 which isn't bad, but you need to sell a bunch to make decent $

Yeah, that is true. Volume would be key. I scraped about 10k in past sales so far and 286 domains (about 3% of sales) have been $99 to $1000. I excluded all 3,4,5L etc, and number domain sales and all "cicret, viagra, etc" sales. Focused only on generic two+ word domains and brandables. Out of 1700 brandables 92 sold for $99 to $500. So close to 6% of sales on brandables fetch $99+, over twice as much as generic two+ word domains. Or course, most domainers don't put their prime domains for sale on ebay so what I'm really analyzing here is sales of generally the less desirable domains peppered here and there with semi-decent ones.

Tried some domains on eBay a few years ago but found that it was not great names selling for peanuts. Any really bad names do not sell and any good names do not make the money (general observation of course).

I do know some domainers have in the past used an eBay listing to get some basic traffic to their domains so they can say that the domain gets traffic, so beware of the trick whereby someone lists a domain at a horrendous price so that it doesn't sell but instead of directing traffic to the eBay listing has it directed to an aftermarket sales venue so that traffic is recorded on there for the domain. I never sold on ebay. Did I understand the TOS that I won't get paid for 90 days?

No, you receive the payment instantly through paypal.

The best place to sell the domain will expires soon, and you don't want to renew.
Just use auction type.

I sold many domains (mostly 4L) on eBay.

What I like is their fees are only 10% and even lower (8%) when you become a power seller.

eBay constantly have promotion allowing you to list auctions for free (50 per month), often much more.

At the end of 2015 they even had a promotion with 0% fees for 5 listings. That was a great opportunity.

I use ebay to sell when a buyer does not trust me. People do not know about escrow.com and sedo escrow, they are too lazy to do their due diligence and automatically assume silly things. But they know about ebay, they trust ebay and they trust my seller reputation. So I tell them I will put the domain up on ebay where they can buy it, and I send them the link. It works most of the time for me.

eBay still says 90 days to get paid. Is there a account, category & item limit? It appears everyone is putting it under 'business', I don't see that category, just 'business & industrial'. Do you sell one by one or do you bundle more than one in a 'portfolio'
I don't see any of the graphic/PIC dimensions...eBay does a lousy job for newbies!

Thanks a bunch for your help,
Serry

I put mine under:
Specialty Services > Web & Computer Services > Domain Names

Also I use eBay Turbo Lister. It really takes 2 minutes to publish a new name once your template is done.

I have tried eBay in the past with selling domains and it's not near as efficient as selling them on other platforms. The upside of it is that you can track the number of visits to your auction regardless of where you post it and can see which platform performs the best.

I only sell one domain at a time on ebay. There are no end users on Ebay for it to be worth my time listing domains there, only when the buyer asks for guarantees that I will deliver the domain, that this is not a scam etc do I offer ebay as a trusted place to "meet". I have never listed a domain on ebay in hopes of somebody stumbling upon it.
